  1. This was invented by a gunsmith named Mark, forget his last name who lived in Knoxville for a while. He worked for Clark Custom and moved up to Tennessee to work for Hamilton Bowen.
  2. GT Distributors usually has some. They have a Tennessee room for Tn residents.
  3. I have a lot of Glock mags so I’ll get one in a year or so in case it has any kinks that need to be worked out.
  4. Maybe 20.I’ve never owned much more than that and during the lean years between 08-12 it was less than a dozen.I’ve never been a collector.
  5. But you get style points and likes on FB and Instagram
  6. I’ve carried Spyderco knives for over 20 years.Natives, more PMs than I can remember but my EDC for the last 2 years has been a Stretch with a ZPD 189 blade.
  7. I’m 60 so he was my generation’s Tarzan,RIP
  8. It’s not an easy business to break into unless you have the money and connections with primer and powder wholesalers.Case in point in the Chattanooga area I had a friend who tried it with under $10K invested,he failed in no small part to the run on components in 2020 but North Ga Reloading is still going strong with 2 or 3 stores in the area.
  9. Outpost Armory
  10. GT Distributors contacted me earlier this year and told me they had a Vicker’s Master Class come in.It was priced almost $500 more than the first run.I passed on it and last time I was in there it was gone. I found an Emissary locally for a ridiculously low price. I’m going to have a local gunsmith who does great work replace the internal parts with Harrison Custom ones and do a trigger job with those.I’ll still come out cheaper than the original price of the Master Class with was I think $1,500.
  11. I posted almost the same thing about 14-15 years ago and someone who isn’t even on here anymore called me a troll.
  12. I liked Horizon.I sat the entire 3 hrs plus previews without going to the restroom,a major accomplishment for my 60 yr old bladder. I had a feeling part 2 wouldn’t be shown in the theater.I had no idea they had planned a 3rd and 4th installment. It should have been a HBO miniseries.Back to the original post I‘ve been a movie goer since I could drive.Since Covid I have probably been 4 times. There’s just nothing I want to see coming to the big screen. I don’t have a streaming service so I’m missing some good stuff there.
  13. I 2nd Bullseye in Murfreesboro. They have a great selection of steel targets including resetting plate racks
  14. If you haven’t been to the Fairgrounds in a while it’s not nearly as big as it once was. I went last year for the first time since 2019 and everything on the hill is now a soccer stadium, a parking garage and they were building apartments or condos. The flea market is now just on the lower end in a building and there is a covered outdoor section. There were no metal detectors.
  15. Wilson 47D.Buy once,cry once.
  16. Tn doesn’t have a registration law.The dealer you buy it from records it in a bound book. They keep the book/books as long as they are in business. If they go out of business or give up their FFL they turn the books over to the ATF who is supposed to destroy them.At least that’s what I heard.

    Gunsmith

Probably not what you’re looking for but there is a gunsmith in Meridian,Ms that works on old guns. It’s called Whynot Gunsmith Shop.He posts regularly his repairs on FB and IG.Seems like a stand up guy.
  18. I’ve carried a 43x for nearly 4 years.I’m changing the setup a bit,I’ve already switched the holster and I’m going to change sights too.
  19. GT Distributors in Rossville/Chattanooga has Glock 22s similarly priced.Looks like LE agencies are trading in their Gen 3 and 4s for Gen 5s.
  20. This is probably the same gun that SDS is selling with a few cosmetic changes.I know their JSOC 1911 is a Tisas.
  21. I’ve watched Season 1 at least 5 times.I always find something I missed each time.I didn’t care for season two.Season 3 had potential but it was too much of a soap opera feel, the shootout at the house was the best part.I haven’t seen 4 yet.
  22. The only time I saw anything reloading related it was a shotgun press and it was way overpriced. The few guns I have seen were fairly priced.Once I saw a Colt Official Police for a good price but it had timing issues.
  23. Any type of refinishing or modification will reduce the value of it.Your gun, your call.If you’re leaving it for future generations that’s something to consider. If not, gold plate it.
  24. There is a huge difference between shooting at an indoor range behind the line with the barriers between the shooters and shooting in front of them. It’s still loud but it doesn’t reverberate.I’ve shot dozens of indoor USPSA and IDPA matches, with only one person firing at a time it’s not that bad.
  25. I heard some of the 1911s had barrel fit problems.I never shot the two I owned enough to see any issues.
