    What’s your EDC

Glock 43x every day for the last 2 years. It’s surprisingly accurate for a compact gun. When I go to the range the first drill I do cold is the Jack Wilson, from concealment draw and fire one rd to the head from 15 yds. I nail it every time.
  2. There was a time when Chattanooga Police went out and conducted round ups of gang members. That was several mayors and police chiefs ago.Today they have a bleeding heart liberal mayor who went and hired a police chief who checks all the boxes.
  3. Oh they wear them but it’s the smart watches
  4. Nice to see Rock River building 1911s again.Thats what they originally did before going down the AR15 rabbit hole. I think the owner worked for Les Baer at one time.
  5. I toss mine in the back yard
  6. Mark Scott at Scott Bookkeeping charges $30 cash. That includes the background check. He does a lot of transfers.
  7. Chattanooga Rifle Club and Oak Ridge Sportsman’s Association (ORSA) have High Power Rifle matches.Info is on their websites.
  8. Of those two choices I would go with the Ruger
  9. I thought I heard he had died years ago, guess not.He lived in North Ga for a while and made the gun show circuit selling his books.I saw him at one in Fort Oglethorpe. He had some odd religious beliefs but didn’t deserve what transpired at Ruby Ridge.
  10. The trigger and MSH have been replaced. You might use that as a bargaining point. I’ve owned a Gold Cup,2 Series 70 GMs and 4 1991A1s over the years and all worked perfectly and were accurate as well.
  11. I’m no.4 on that list.I highly doubt it ever gets called
  12. You’re welcome.I started to buy it but I’ve climbed that Hi Power tree a couple times already.
  13. Heads up Middle Tn residents.Today April 14 there is a SA35 at Outpost Armory in Murfreesboro. It’s standard retail priced $699.
  14. For just shooting, the 1911.

    Carry History

Started carrying legally in 97 with a Glock 23,after that a Beretta 32 Tomcat,S&W 642,Glock 21,Glock 30s,June of 2020 I went to GT Distributors and got a Glock 43x through the Blue Label program. It will take a pretty amazing gun to get me to switch from that.
  16. Ammo manufacturers are cranking out 9mm and 5.56 right now. If you want ammo that’s hard to find try to locate some .410.
  17. I had an 80 lb Boxer lap dog for 11 years. He’s been gone for 5 years now and I still miss him every day.
  18. There is one at GT Distributors which is their display and they will not sell. They also have a Vickers Master Class they won’t sell either.Back to the SA35,I fondled it and my take is the grips are nice, the matte finish looks like it will wear quickly which is great for those that like the “battle worn” look, the sights are good and the thumb safety moves much too easily,no snap or detent to it.My take is it’s an enhanced BHP clone,if that’s your thing it will give you a rise.
  19. Quite update.I ordered a 3.5lb connector for my 43x from 10-8 Performance,as far as I know Hilton the owner is the only vendor selling one. I just installed it 15 minutes ago and it is a noticeable improvement. It lightens the pull about a pound but the big difference is the wall before the break is not as stiff .Big improvement in the trigger for less than $30 shipped.
  20. I have carried a 43x for the last 22 months.Light, compact, accurate yet the grip is long enough that your pinky finger isn’t hanging off with the mag removed.I have Ameriglo Hackathorn ( tritium/fiber optic front, plain rear) sights on it and they work really well.
  21. Go to Bea’s and eat fried chicken and either before or after check out GT Distributors,it’s just down the road
  22. If you own a 45 ACP revolver they will work in it
  23. I have carried a G43x for almost 2 years. I’m surprised with it’s accuracy,so much in fact I figured a 48 would be even better. After I bought one I noticed no discernible reduction in recoil or increase in accuracy compared to the 43x.Both are great platforms.
  24. The large frame Glocks were designed around the 10mm.The polymer frame absorbs a lot of the recoil making them easier to shoot than a steel frame 1911.It seems you have also discovered how accurate the .45acp Glocks are.Other than the lean years between 08-12 I have owned at least 1 Glock of one caliber or another since 1990.
  25. I wish Springfield would crank out more Vickers Master Classes rather than a new model every month.Speaking of Springfield I was able to fondle a SA 35 today. It had a nice matte finish and the slide to frame fit was good. I wasn’t impressed with the thumb safety. You could push it on and off with no resistance at all.On Leatham’s FB page he said Springfield was caught off guard with the popularity of the SA 35 and they are cranking them out as fast as possible.
