HCP/CCW Badge

Recommended Posts

I'm still waiting for the episode where a bounty hunt goes bad and a gangbanging crack dealer on the run pulls out a 9MM in response to Dog's mace barrels...

That will never happen man. Leland or Tim would be down on them before somebody could say "Brah!"

Joking aside, I'm really surprised he hasn't been shot.

Personally I conceal my weapon all of the time. Sometimes I use a OWB holster, but I wear a jacket or pull a shirt over it. Am I ashamed to carry a handgun...no. Do I want the additional attention and potential to be the first target if the SHTF...NO. I want to be the one with a surprise in a bad situation. Timing is everything.

Before I got my CCP's I OC'ed every day (the state of NC allows OC w/o a permit). It definitely got me some unneeded attention a couple times, but usually I was incognito most of the time with it. The only people that really noticed it were the people who knew I did it.

I guess you could say a revolver on my hip was just as good as a CCP badge...

Plus it offers convenient double targets. I like it.

The sheer power of the dual badges creates a flux in the gravitational field surrounding me which makes any bullet fired at me to curve around me instead of hitting me.

Back to original post. There are just too many different badges out there to outlaw anybody carrying a badge. In some school ditricts crossing guards wear badges, and they look more official than the ones worn by the THP!

I personally won't wear or carry one because I don't want anybody to think I am an LEO and have to depend on me when I may not legally be able to deliver. I'm a private citizen not an LEO, and at this point in life (retired) I am happy it is that way.

See the thing about wearing the badge down there is that people can see it without binoculars. :P
The only reason you'd need a badge down there is if you needed it to compensate for the lack of something else... :P
