You know...im no fan...but thats incredibly disrespectful....imagine the Russian outrage if we showed their President the same disrespect...we would be still apologizing 10years from now. You guys can hate all you want too, but at the end of the day he is OUR President...thats a slap in the face to all of us.

lol...I don't agree with you. Yes, I was joking with the Tea Party comment. I would hope to not have to explain that to anyone, especially since most everyone on an internet forum is smart enough to turn on a computer. He has made the position laughable in a lot of people's eyes around the world. I'm not going to get pissy about someone not showing him respect. He is the one bowing to other heads of state.

Well, you and I can fight. Roman candles at noon? I would much rather that the president receives the respect the position deserves. Apparently, the man filling that position is an object of scorn in certain circles of foreign governments. It seems that being scorned like that should drive home the comments that are being said about his policies here in the U.S.

I agree with your point, but I find it ironic that the :P drinkers all tout that he is the great uniter who has brought international respect back to the Presidency when it is exactly the opposite. Now they didn't like Bush or even Clinton for that matter, but they were darn sure not going to disrespect him or the USA in that way. If they did he wouldn't have huffed and pouted like Obama did. Picture say a thousand words and those few seconds of video spoke millions!

Now as far as a domestic political statement I have had the distinct pleasure of ignoring Ned McWherter, Naife, and others of their ilk on a regular basis. Now I'll be professional, but I will not pander to their obvious desire for acknowledement. It is rather funny how they respond when their "cute" remarks are not returned. It is a small joy in my life.:tinfoil:

I'd shake the man's hand and call him sir out of the respect for the position. Same reason that I'd call a horrible boss 'sir'. Guess it has to do with my raisin'. My daddy is 65 years old, but if he got stopped by the greenest rookie officer with the worst attitude, he'd call him 'sir' just because of the position.

+1 It is rare air to find someone who uses common sense when it comes to our President. The same people were in church on sunday fooling themselves into thinking that they were full of love and compassion.

:lol: What in the world does that have to do with anything. If Satan walked in I wouldn't shake his hand either. Does that make me a hypocrite as well?:shake::D

Just meant as light humor for the day.:shake:

Then we've all got our money's worth.

Honestly, personally, I would probably shake the man's hand. Although I do not agree with 98% of what leaves his mouth and brain, I would shake his hand because he is our President (979 Days Left). However, I do see this as a "wake up call" to him to stop kissing everyone's ass and kicking some people's ass.

My sentiments exactly. Don't like him one bit, but he is the president. :-\
