This is some of the most despicable behavior I've ever seen. Union thuggery and class warfare at it's very worst.

It's one thing to protest, but at someone's home? Why aren't the cops making arrests here for disturbing the peace? Doesn't this qualify as aggravated assault?

Looks like they are blocking a public street. If I do that I get asked to move by the polkice and hauled in if I don't. Seems fair to me if these people get the same treatment. Do they have permission to sert that rat on private property? Doubt it.

A long time ago I worked for two unions at two different local companies. I got laid off from both and learned after leaving that a portion of my salary went to the Democratic party. Never again will I be part of a union.

2. Post newly vacant jobs online.

3. Start hiring.

4. Profit.

Funny thing is the portion of Verizon that is unionized and thus striking, is the part of the company that is losing money and can't make a profit.

I was wondering how this would play out if the tables were turned. What if the non-union execs got a bunch of folks together and started going over to the neighborhoods of the unionized workers, standing in front of their houses and making a specticle.

1. Blood would flow in the streets.

2. The media would focus on it 24/7 for a week.

Yes, something like what Reagan did when the air traffic controllers went on strike.

Fire them all, and hire brand new labor.

Dunno if the rule is still in force, but some years back the local IBEW had a rule "no foreign cars in the IBEW parking lot" and AFAIK the rule was pretty strictly enforced.

Dunno if that is a good or bad thing. Might depend on where one's car was manufactured. :)

I was a member of the IBEW when I was young and dumb (ok maybe younger and dumber). Thuggery is correct.

Many years ago I applied for an apprenticeship in the IBEW, but was told I was too old. I'm alot older now, and have no use for the IBEW or other unions.

Yeah I quickly realized I had no use for the union and IMO they are obsolete in this day and age.

Some good news.....there were two locations, a distribution center and a cross dock. The cross dock has been shut down, not to return, termination notices sent. Go Union now fellas....go Union now. (Hope them dues cover forced retirement).

There was also a lot of folks very angry in that area. They had no jobs and these guys were striking because they had been told they were going to have to share in the costs of their medical benefits which were to this point all company paid.
