Need a factory radio

Recommended Posts

I bought me a 2006 gmc sierra 1500 and the original owner replaced the stereo with a nice pioneer. I would like to put the factory one back in since all the controls on the steering wheel don't work with the pioneer. Anyone know of anywhere I could get one? I'm looking online and most places are asking close to $300...that just seems like a lot. Thanks!

Better check with GM parts counter on this, but during the 90's most stereo/radio systems were very difficult to transfer from one vehicle to another. Anit theft systems would shut many of them down, requiring a lot of painful and irritating time with a GM tech person to get it to work again.

May not be so bad now, but that was my experience when trying to replace one.

Good luck!
