Can anyone identify these shrooms

First a disclaimer> I am not wanting to use these for food or anything else for that matter, we are just curious as to what kind they are as we have never seen wild mushrooms like these. They are in our backyard under elm and oak trees. There is a place where the red cap ones grow so thick we call it smurf village. Mostly we just want to know if they are dangerous for our dogs and the chickens.

these are just wierd looking

I once had a book on mushrooms with lots of pictures for comparison. If you are not an expert, it is very difficult to tell. Some of the poisonous ones mimic non poisonous and some magic mimic good/bad.
