Ohio instructor shoots student in gun-safety class

You beat me by two minutes. But my title was going to be "And you thought your HCP was bad?". Oh well. Maybe next time.

EDIT: Just like to say that Sportsman's Supply in Hixson, TN was superb. Class was taught by CPD's Range Officer (I think it was the range officer, been over a year and I forget). He was a great instructor.

And a handgun safety instructor "didn't know the gun was loaded". What is the abosolute 2nd thing you should always check with a firearm? I hope his permit to teach has been pulled. You can't fix stupid!!

  • Rule #1 – All guns are always loaded.
  • Rule #2 – Never let the muzzle cover anything you are not willing to destroy.
  • Rule #3 – Keep your finger off the trigger until your sights are on the target.
  • Rule #4 – Identify your target, and what is behind it.
