NFA Trust for $100?

Recommended Posts

I looked into it quite a bit, but ended up going with Chip Cain to do mine (as have many others on TGO).  With the money I was spending on these items and the reason I was doing it (having family be able to be in possession of my NFA Items), the extra cost and piece of mind was worth well more than the little I would have saved over the long run.  I just didn't want to "hope" it was right, I wanted to "know" it was right.

Not saying these wouldn't hold up legally, but I wasn't willing to be the test case.

Good answer. When I was looking into it, an unnamed TGO'er told me that he did a roll-your-own trust, then said if he had it to do over, he would have used a lawyer. It's more money, but you can do it via mail.

What these guys said.

I'm am a licensed attorney in Tennessee.  I can drafts wills, trusts, etc.  I looked into preparing my own NFA trust, but decided to pay another attorney to prepare it with expertise in drafting such trusts and dealing with the ATF, etc. Finding out your trust is invalid could reasonable end up costing you a felony conviction.
