Had a neighbor said he made bows out if them once. Said he'd make me one but dude was so dang weird that i had to pass. I really like cool longbows and handmade stuff so that tells you how weird he had to be.

You can take the fruit and (supposedly) use them as an insect repellant under the bed.

That never worked for me. Tried it in my shop, the apples just rotted and the bug level didn't change. My dog loves to eat the stupid things, though.

I think I hate those trees. Clear a few fencelines of them and you will, too.

I always thought they looked neat. In Cleveland there is a tree on the greenway between 25th St. And 20th St. Ended up finding a nice "brain specimen" to bring home a few weeks ago just because. Ended up reading about them a bit. Read that they can be a skin irritant and thought "no big deal". Later that night I realized I had a chemical type burn on the hand I carried it with (mainly worked like a chemical peel. No big deal but lots of dead skin). I always thought they would be cool for a Halloween display if done correctly (jars, liquids, right colored lights, etc).

Defiantly one of the best targets to get a kid interested in shooting. I set out a shooting bench with a front rest & a rear sandbag with my Savage .243, I don't think they can miss them at 100yrds.

When we get done it looks like we have been slaughtering aliens. Green parts & whiteliquid dripping from all the trees.
