Interest in low light class?

Recommended Posts

Hey guys...gauging the interest in a low light class in the middle of March. The specific date I'm looking at is March 12 which is the last day before the time changes so we'll have an extra hour of darkness to work with.

It would be a pistol class that would require probably 200-250 rounds of ammo. It would include lots of shooting with flashlights and without in low or no light. You will see just how much light you need to shoot by and how much you need to ID targets. Also a fair amount time will be devoted to using the flashlight as a tool to help you get deselected in the "pre fight interview" , use as a distraction device and impact weapon, and as a bridge from less lethal to lethal force.

Class would probably run from about 4pm to 11pm.

So...who's interested?

As to cost it will most likely be in the $160 range.

As to WML (Weapon Mounted Light) if you want to use that for some of the class that is fine. I will cover both the use of hand held lights and WML. And the lack of a holster for it is not really that big a handicap since most people using a WML equipped pistol to check out the bump in the night at 3AM will not be wearing a holster. But for the overwhelming majority of the drills approximating defending against street crime we will be using a hand held light like the Surefire 6P or G2 or Streamlight scorpion. After all, you can walk down any street in the world with a palmed flashlight.....not so much with a WML equipped gun in your hand so even if we have a WML we still need to carry a handheld when out in public.

Depending on what weapon mounted light you have and on which pistol you use  I might be able to hook you up with a holster.
