A cowboy.....

Recommended Posts

I was channel surfing late one evening a few weeks back, and came across this movie. I hadn't seen it for a while and decided to watch it again. To my utter horror, it had been pc'd, made politically correct, sanitized, etc. it was completely unwatchable, they played music during the "bean scene" around the campfire! Time to go dig out my disc and rewatch the original version. I only made it through about 20 minutes of the new version.

when that movie came out the street I lived on was being rebuilt.  There was a worker we saw all summer.  He was given the nickname Mongo by us kids. He'd walk down the road carrying a shovel or mattock or something and we'd all yell "Hey Mongo".

Have not thought of that for years and years.  To me that alone made this thread worthwhile.  Good times!
