AIM Surplus Security Breach

Got a letter today. Maybe it's just me, but signing up for the free "protection" is a bit of a problem.

I got my letter in the mail from Aim last weekend. I signed up for their freebie monitoring. My driver's license was uploaded at the time for ammo purchases so that's been hauled away by baddies. My FFL was there too, buy I don't think there's much danger on that. What are the bad guys going to do? Buy guns and have them shipped to me?

Word is going around that AIM Surplus was hacked.  Specifically, the driver's license/FFL upload portion of the site.  They apparently are sending out letters and offering a year's worth of credit monitoring.

 

I got one of those letters.  Funny thing is I don't remember ordering anything from AIM.

Still no letter in my mailbox. They have my DL and 03 FFL.  SMH.

Still no letter here, I only purchased a gun from them, no ammo, no DL number.
