It has a Century trigger.

Have read they're switched to that over the last year or so. Mine have the Tapco.

No, I won't do that.  While I did go order clips from Amazon, I could have cancelled both orders - one was for ten the other for twenty.

I cancelled the one for twenty, though kept the other one as it has a sling to carry clips for my SKSs.  I would use magazines on my SKSs though thye don't seem to work well.

It has a Century trigger.

Also, I got it off of GunBroker for $626.  None of the usual suspects had WASRs.

I've heard great things about the RAK-1. Have you been able to try out the ALG AKT? I'm just wondering if you could make a comparison.

I haven't tried the RAK-1 and can't compare.  I can say that the Century Arms trigger on the AK is much nicer than the one on my Sig M400, which is Sigs lower level AR.

Figured that's what the Century trigger would have been. Oh well then. I don't think anything can be as bad as an Arsenal trigger.

Ya probably ought to seal the wood with something.  Here's the one I left "blonde". Didn't get fancy,  I just removed all the wood, removed butt plate,  and used several coats of Formby's Low Gloss Tung Oil Finish, inside and out, even down the cleaning rod hole. (It's not anything like using real tung oil, which takes a month or two to do right, this stuff dries in a few hours for each coat).

Surprised by how accurate the thing was, I went ahead and added a cheapo 4x scope too.

Congrats on the purchase.  Looking forward to helping you shoot it. :P

A full mag of 7.62x39 will add some heft, but the AK series as a whole in stock configuration is pretty good weight wise with a nice balance.  Are you buying all polymer mags, or getting any classic style ones?

Good advice on sealing the wood, especially on which product to use.  I tried to seal a stock with boiled linseed oil and it neevveeeeeeeeeer dries.

I'll get some classic mags in addition to the polymer ones.

I went ahead and bought this ahead of the attempts to band defense rifles.  My concern is that they may try to ban all center fire semi auto rifles.  After all, why would anybody need more than a single shot for hunting?

I've used boiled linseed oil to refinish a few stocks myself, its a very long drawn out process with multiple coats. Linspeed is a much easier product that you can either gloss up or dull down so its my first choice.

Good score on the WASR, those are nice rifles.

Good input.  I've also used Birchwood Casey Tru Oil with great results.  Same thing, you can gloss it up or dull it down.  Products are probably similar.  Tru Oil takes linseed oil and does something to it to improve it.
