The Durham County GOP had a raffle. they would give away one gun a day through May. $30 a ticket. They texted me that I had won a Winchester Defender pump action 12ga. I was so excited. I picked up the shotgun and bought 100 rounds of 00 buck shot. Unfortunately, I just had my shoulder replaced and cannot shoot it until September. I have a few shotguns but not a 12ga pump. This Defender is made in Turkey. I have a Remington Wingmaster 16ga that I have had since the 1960s. It is smooth as butter and will rack a shell with one hand. When I raise it to my shoulder I am automatically looking down the barrel. It is a beautiful shotgun that has put a lot of meat on the table. This Defender......not so much. I am 6'2" and I have to reach for the grip to rack the slide. There is nothing smooth about this shotgun. I could buy a new stock for it but that would cost as much as the gun is worth. I think it needs some breaking in, so in September I'm going to run that buck shot through it. It is camouflaged, so I got that going for me.

I use the corded AXIL GS Extreme ear buds, which are really good too, but that cord behind your ear and around the back of your neck is a little complicated to put on. Since you can use foamies for both, I regret not ponying up for the XCORs instead.
