  1. Past hour
  2. Picked up a 49 from GlockStore in Nashville. Dropped my kid off at Nashville Shores and had to stop in. At $499 I basically had to take it home. Academy has it for $650 for some reason. I found a G17 IWB holster ant home and it’s ready to go. I’ll probably plunk on Trijicon off my M&P Metal that doesn’t get much love.
  3. As to the penetration thing with the 380 ACP. I'ma doubt it would do anything other than ricochet off a glass window or windshield... Just not enough umph.. I always cheated a bit with my little SIG since it's a locked breech pistola, by handloading hardball to the top of the loading manual to develop at least 1000 fps muzzle velocity... Otherwise, I would buy PPU hard all, it's close to the handload... leroy
  4. Of all of the testing I have seen and read 380 doesn't reliably expand due to lower velocities. This applies to 38spl in snubbies though not as much. Many recommend using solid bullets in these. I still use hollow points as finding a heavier bullet is going to be rare. I would trust the FBI load in 38 snub nose if I had one. Some foreign have use 380, 9mm Makorov and even 32 acp. To be fully up front, these are not fighting pistols. They are up close get out of this situation rounds. I don't plan on a protracted gunfight, I plan to get my wife and myself out of the area and let law enforcement handle it.

  13. $800.00 OBO Shipped $1,399 New Truly, how many 50mm lenses does a person need? Up for sale is a Canon EF 50mm f/1.2L USM lens — a favorite among portrait, wedding, and creative photographers for its stunning image quality and beautiful, creamy bokeh. This is one of Canon’s most iconic L-series prime lenses, known for its super-fast f/1.2 aperture, making it perfect for low-light situations, shallow depth-of-field portraits, and artistic photography with incredible background separation. Condition: This lens is fully functional and in great working order. It shows slight cosmetic wear from normal use and has a small scratch on the coating of the front element. I’ve done my best to show it in the photos — though please note it looks much more noticeable in the picture than in person, as I used a macro lens to capture it clearly for full transparency. Important Note: Tiny marks like this on the front element rarely, if ever, affect image quality, especially at this size and location. This lens continues to deliver sharp, beautiful images with its signature character and bokeh. For more information, check out this article via Lensrentals: https://www.lensrentals.com/blog/2022/11/how-front-element-scratches-affect-your-images/ Highlights: Exceptional low-light performance with a bright f/1.2 aperture Renowned for creamy, buttery bokeh and stunning subject separation Solid, weather-sealed L-series build quality Fast, accurate USM autofocus motor Classic 50mm focal length — a versatile option for portraits, street, event, and everyday photography Works beautifully on both full-frame and crop-sensor Canon EF-mount cameras Includes: Front and rear caps, hood, pouch If you’ve been looking for a chance to own this legendary lens at a great price, this is it! Going to keep this one simple, all photos hosted via Smugmug. You can view the original size and also download the full-resolution images to your device for inspection. Also, you can view the EXIF data via the "Information" button on the left after you select a photo. In general, first set of photos taken at f/1.2 with the 50mm, slightly after that a set at f/4.0 with the 50mm, then of course actual images of the lens itself. --> Link to Full Gallery (Smugmug) <--
  14. The firestar plus with impossible to find mags is alloy frame and was only mfgd in 9mm. I recently sold a Starvel PD and 3 factory Starvel mags. I tamed the recoil with a 20lb recoil spring. It was a 1990, last year, production where they eliminated that goofy overcomplicated rear sight and just used a Star 30M one. A very good move. I have no idea if even the heaviest 180gr .40 would cycle the massive slide of the Megastar.

  17. Gas stations are a real problem when one is forced to leave his vehicle for fuel stops. What I been saying all along. I always lock my doors if I walk away from my vehicle. The video is shocking and shows never turn you back on a perp even after you shoot them. By the time the good Samaritan noticed, too late. If one is going to get involved, shoot to stop, as many times as it takes if at all possible. Just read an article on the Underrated 380 ACP written by Lindsey Bertomen in the July/August American Handgunner Magazine I just received in the mail yesterday. His words, "The Most Underrated Cartridge." He is handloading and did quite a bit of experimenting. Said he never got the desired FBI 12" to 18" standard but did get over 12" with all copper Barns bullets and LHigh bullets from the 380. He also discussed the newer LeighHigh type ammo. Said they were the best he could find and said that was the way to go, IHO. Frankly I don't care if my ammo expands very much from a 380.

  19. Would be ok with a micro, but I'd prefer a compact. Don't care what color. Preferably within 30 minutes of Tullahoma. Cash waiting.
  20. I thought bout getting a complete 9mm upper and one of these mags to try.Anybody else have this?
  21. The guy lived long enough to back up and run him over after being shot at almost point blank. We don't know what he was shooting, how many or any hits, or chemicals in the guys system. It is possible only a hit in the CNS would have stopped it. I do know of a home invasion that was stopped with a 22Lr. My buddy was aiming at his head and hit him in the pinky finger. Guy dropped and was arrested. I asked him if the guy had put his hand in front of his face and that's how it happened. He told me no, he has no idea how he hit him in the hand.
