Case lube?Hornady,Dillion, or Frankford Arsenal?
OneClick replied to jeff43's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
I Lee Collet neck-size only, 98% of the time, assuming I don't need a 'small base, and the arms have similar chambers. (I've head space checked them also, via Hornady gauges). I do it all in 200 & 100x batches, unless it's a special run. If I ever need a lube: Imperial. I pre-tumble 100% of the time. . . . I literally triple my case life by neck sizing only, and I keep pretty good records of the batches. I'm REALLY lazy, so the LEE Collet die is the Boobies, IMHO. Brass flow & trimming sucks. If I have to 'Body Bump'. . .Imperial. -

Either one of the Ruger LCP series or S&W Bodyguard would be good choices. Lots of holsters and stuff available for them. HOLSTERS ARE IMPORTANT! Have a LCP II and recently used it for a defensive drill I was trying introducing a friend to. It amazes me how quickly it drew from concealment and put 7 rounds of Hornady HP VERY quickly on a man sized target at 15 yards. What else could you want?* Get one, train with it, and carry it in a secure holster. Am sure Bodyguard would do the same. *Ok, cheaper ammo would be nice!

In between showers I sanded the casings with live primers on the belt sander. Not as deep as those without primers. I could have gone deeper on a few. But cloudy skies and poor light I did pretty good. I sanded a few on the block until 120 grit paper went slick. Got a fresh sheet to start again today.

I'm with Greg here...! Beautiful rifle, beautiful wood. I've got his brother in 458 Win Mag. The pictures don't do these justice. They are the " best of the best " of this round of Ruger production. They are, in fact, heirloom production. admirin leroy.. -

The sad truth is that the construction industry is mostly filled with immigrant labor. Some, I'm sure, have work visas. Others simply don't. As others have opined, as long as employers hire these folks, they will find ways to come; both legal and illegal. I noticed that yesterday DJT allegedly ordered ICE to ease up on farm, meat packing, and " hospitality services " raids. It's gonna be interesting to see how this really plays out . I'm a bit conflicted about this stuff because I know some immigrant folks that are law abiding, hard working folks minding their own business; they are the ones that work two jobs n send money home. I'm all for them. As to the " on the dole ", LA Raza, and thug crowd, they need to go... Sorting em out without collateral damage is, indeed, a big problem. letoy

Used my range to teach 3 young newbies and their dad to shot recently. Talked to another friend and she is going to bring her 4 children to allow me to introduce her kids to guns also, soon. Gives me joy to remove the Media anti-gun stigma that the liberal news media instills in our friends and neighbors. May I also say the gravel has really helped with my mud problem. Grass has now grown in my thin layer of gravel keeping it in place, and it is like walking on dry ground even with the large amount of rain we have experienced lately. Now I am getting ready to add some more steel targets to the new addition backstop we just added to the range. Have plans for about 5 more targets. Having this new addition back-stop will make it more interesting on targets to fire at. When I get finished, I will have about 25 different hanging targets to engage in a shooting session. My range is not fancy just adequate. It allows me to teach newbies any time I can get them here. That was my goal.

I'll add to the SIG 238 cheerleading . I carry one Lotsa times in summer for " mundane " trips. Remember, the locked breech guns will handle heavier loads. The blow backs need factory ammo. I handloaded some plus p 380 before the 380 ammo selection got to where it is today. I also love the Kahr 380s. Would like to find a " lovingly cared for lightly used one " -- SIGH -- so far, no luck. leroy.

My Bodyguard is working out well as a backup to my EDC. Just enough weight to know it is there in the weak side pocket.
