  1. www.everygunpart.com I ordered a couple gun parts sets that basically NEVER pop up in Ebay, GB, ect. I don't care that they were crime guns or where ever they got them from as long as they were not stolen. Will like 3 thousand sets, they are probably checked for that.... I hope. The down side is they are pricing toward "part Out" totals and a tad under and some over the top. I just missed out on this weekends special of 15% off with free shipping but what the hey.... Worth keeping a link up for future ones.

  2. Mark and I had a chance to sit down with one of the Executive Vice Presidents from Polymer80 this past week and even got some info on upcoming products. I'm not going to spoil the whole thing for you but the words "polymer" and "1911" were mentioned during this interview. https://www.shootersnation.com/podcast/020-dan-mccalmon-of-polymer-80/

  3. I just got off the phone with Ronnie (my son) down in Kingston Springs in Cheatham County. He just got off the phone with the Sheriff down there. The Sheriff told Ronnie that they have recovered 4 of the guns that were stolen from our home back in 1988 when they burglarized our home while we were at the hospital with my oldest son that was in a coma from and auto accident. They recovered all long guns. The most important one was recovered which is my dead sons Winchester model 1200 12 gauge. They also recovered my younger sons 20 gauge Winchester 1200 , my Mossberg 4.10 Pump and a Marlin 30/30. They said the investgation is on going and they hope to learn where more of them are. There is only 4 more long guns out there and all the rest are hand guns. The only gun out of all was my dead sons Winchester Pump that I really wanted back. I had bought it and my other sons 20 gauge for Christmas 3 years prior to my sons accident. I bought all 3 of those shotguns at Speciality Arms in LaVergne a couple years after they opened up for business and they were running a special on Winchesters. I wanted a pump 4.10 for a couple years so bought the Mossberg and because I was buying the other two guns they gave me a package deal on 3 guns. I remember having to take the 4.10 back because it would shoot around corners. When I told the guy it would shoot around corners he laughed but took the gun in the back to their range and test fired it 3 times. He came back out with a new Mossberg in a box and handed me 5 boxes of 4.10 ammo. He said you are correct sir. It does shoot around corners. He said the barrel was evidently bent from the factory. Very nice folks to do business back then. They have grown a lot since I bought the shotguns. I really wanted it back most of all. They said they will be returned after the case is closed but at least I now know it will be coming home eventually where it belongs. All they could tell Ronnie right now is they were discovered in a home in Cumberland Furnace during a drug bust raid on a house there and the occupants were arrested for dealing drugs out of the house. My son ask if he could give him the names of the drug dealers but he said he could not because it is an ongoing investigation. Ronnie was trying to see if it was someone he knew. Will keep ya'll updated as I learn more.

  4. Yep, I've been running mine year around for a couple of yrs now. Never know what you're gonna get. It's fun waiting to see what shows up. I keep corn out & a mineral brick ( deer ,squirrels, rabbits, lick that thing).

  5. Yep, almost black I guess, hard to say at nite. Only one to show up thus far, also had a buck & doe. Buck is growing, but rather ugly right now. Had likely the same buck last yr., ugly as a mud fence, LOL. I keep shelled corn out in a box at nite. Also have coons, rabbits, squirrels, doves, possums, skunks. Busy place back there, only about a 1/3 acre of timber. They make good use of it.

  6. Nope. I was perusing it the other day. They seem to focus on entire gun kits without frames, they have been destroyed, and they have all kinds of of them.

  7. Can we deploy drone mounted tasers next? Then we could video the antics.

  8. Thanks! Yes, I finally got a chance to shoot it today. My range time was primarily spent zeroing the dot, three rounds at a time. It didn't take long to get it printing right where I wanted it. I am tickled with the way the gun performs overall. The slide functioned flawlessly, and the fit and finish of the slide were perfect. I would like to do a Glock 17 at some point, but I think I might send a M&P M2.0 Compact slide off to Primary Machine and have them mill it for an RDS. It's VERY quick to pick up. I shot a friend's Glock 20 with 3.35 MOA dot today and it was arguably a little more precise but I'm looking for combat accuracy moreso than bullseye shooting out of my G19. For that, I think I would definitely prefer the 6.5 OA dot.

  9. It’s not bad at all. As far as benefit of running big old flashlights? I guess that would be up to the individual. I hate to trash anything so I want to convert mine as well even if just to use in the garage or backup light to my truck light. 10. The thing is, though, the Constitution protects us from the government infringing on our rights to free speech, to bear arms, etc. The laws of private property supersede them in certain cases, and web sites are private property. Just as a person has a right to forbid you from carrying a gun onto their private property, a web site has the right to forbid a person from using the full array of words in the language.

  11. This process has been a lot slower than I had hoped and that is entirely my fault. I have been covered up with other things, which is exactly the reason why we needed some new folks on the TGO Staff to help us keep momentum and keep things friendly and enjoyable. So without any further adieu, please welcome to the moderating team... @Chucktshoes @Grand Torino @CZ9MM @TripleGGG There may likely be more added soon but these gentlemen were gracious enough to volunteer and are now set up as moderators. I have more volunteers to sort through and hope to get that taken care of in the days ahead, so if you had tossed your hat in the ring don't give up yet. I really appreciate all of the interest that has been shown.

  13. Funny story. I had a suspect flee into the woods in front of my car. Long story short, I called to him to come out in which he wouldn't. I then said loudly that I would release the dog to which he quickly came out of the woods with his hands up. Dogs get their attention in a heartbeat! EDIT: I forgot to mention that I had no dog. Just the threat was good enough.
