  1. I've had an R1 since they came out.  I have attended two classes shooting on average 600 rounds over 4 days each.  Not a hiccup with factory ammo.  No parts fell off, excellent reliability.  It is not my fanciest 1911, but given the several thousand rounds it has shot it is my most reliable.
  2. The MS is a sometimes very dangerous river. And most 16 foot boats won't handle it. You need to work on some W TN contacts. Most prime duck hunting has long been spoken for. May be able to find a lease. Very hard to free lance on Reelfoot. Best advice is a guide and this will increase your safety and bag.
  3. Time to get it tested.  Go ahead and carry....we'll be rooting for ya
  4. It generally takes a specific policy to cover most shooting situations.  Better check with your carrier.  Don't assume your homeowner liability will do so.
  5. Congrats and thanks for the report.
  6.  ?  Federal Property
  7. Good info Dolo. Not only is that important but look at the 'chicken little' reaction of 'blood in the streets' with any pro-gun legislation. It didn't happen with initial permits, Nat'l parks, State parks, guns-in-bars, guns-in-trunks, etc.,etc. As pointed out, fear mongering and control....NOT facts!
  8. Yeah, so in the meantime SHTF. What am I supposed to do....call time out?!?! I am sure the bad guy will wait till the cops arrive.
  9. The problem with regular glasses and most sunglasses is that there is no protection from the side.  Wrap-arounds are best and some sunglasses do this very well with good quality lens.  For the best protection, don't compromise.
  10.   Absolutely.
  11. M&P fan, the household has 6 or 7.  No problems.  Glocks are fine pistols, but a lot of folks feel the same way you do.  Looking to switch and it is usually to the MP.
  12.   That is correct, but he saw him walk out of the store.  Add to that, helmet on, possible underage?  Don't know.  Same ol' thing, open carry is going to get you attention you don't want or need IMO.   To EssOne, doesn't matter as long as you are on your MC, but out in public, and it is still on you when you dismount, I would think you are now carrying w/o a permit.  Sort of a tricky situation.
  13. To my reading, in post #73, possession of a handgun without a permit is a misdemeanor.
  14. Nope. I fully agree. Bad things can happen.
  15. Sorry, with all that police have to go through now, I see no problem with him disarming someone as his prerogative. In fact, bet it is not routine but the exception. Small issue, not like an army coming to your home to confiscate your weapons.
  16. NEVER<<NEVER<<<never break down a Ruger MK pistol until it stops functioning.....then do the upgrades
  17. I was never stopped until I started posting on TGO! Where is my tin foil hat?
  18. Without a"guilty conscious" seems to be reasonable amount of time.
  19. IMO....Rude, especially with the number of legal carriers.

    STI Lawman 4.0

Yep, good guns and sure you will enjoy. 9 or 45?
  21. 50 shots total. 20 @ 9ft., 20 @ 15 ft., 10 @ 21 ft. Shots in the "yellow" zone count 2 pts each. In the blue 1 pt. 70 pts or better to pass.
  22. May carry while bow hunting........http://www.outdoorlife.com/blogs/newshound/2010/03/tennessee-bowhunters-may-pack-heat
  23. For the most part you are talking about two different weapons. Yes, of course something can serve dual purposes, but shotgun or AR for home. Carry? Anything that will let you get to your trunk for another Shotgun or AR to engage spies. Don't need a permit for either one in that case.
  24. Apples and Oranges, different subject. I respect those who respect volunteer to protect our Country. It sets them apart from the crowd. A line has to be drawn somewhere; that's where I draw mine.
