I totally understand Ohio being a little sensitive about the flag, after the whole Baker Mayfield incident driving the Oklahoma flag staff into the Ohio field.

In my 7 decades the number has waxed and waned many times.

I read this last night and I was really angry! I can’t believe the ridiculous p. r. responses from leadership at Carson and Ft Hood! Never in my 20 plus years of service did I see this blatant disregard for soldiers. If leaders can’t feed their soldiers remove them and put somebody in leadership positions that can do the job! Even deployed I never starved. The 1st Sergeant would deliver food to the remote sites in mermite cans with a 1/4 ton jeep to make sure you were fed. No Sergeant Major worth his salt would allow these soldiers to go hungry. Times have definitely changed. I don’t recall ever leaving a Mess hall hungry in the past. Not exactly gourmet food but filling. If command leadership can’t take care of soldiers fire them! Give all these young soldiers their food rations money back, their meal card isn’t worth crap!

I have watched all the episodes many times. I did look the rifle rack over. But I didn’t know the change in the exploding goat episode. In the early episodes I noticed that they stated Barney and Andy were cousins but never seem to reference that again in later episodes.

Those videos give me a little hope! Some day, I hope to be out there on those ranges again!

I know the Tennessee National Guard has been working hard to help since this started! They deserve thanks and appreciation for all they do!

Fort Campbell sent combat Aviation helicopters recently. And yesterday 500 additional soldiers from Fort Cambell with all terrain vehicles were sent to East Tennessee and North Carolina. They are also setting supply chains and delivering supplies.

Saw one last night by my neighborhood. I was quite surprised had never seen one before. Then driving home today I saw it again. I can’t imagine spending that kind of money on something that looks like it came from back to the future or a terminator movie!

I am still occasionally shooting 5.56, 9mm and .22 that I have had for decades no issues at all. Just keep it dry and stored at reasonable temperatures.

Hopefully the new owners will continue to maintain this historic site. I was a scout, but I never made it to Philmont. Both my older brother and his son went to Philmont .
