  1. Back in the day car dealers used to offer you a choice of a Winchester 30/30 or a 12 gauge shotgun with your new car purchase.
  2. They have a name and vehicle with plate number. They have just located the vehicle.
  3. A passport, DOD ID or veterans health identification card can also be used in place of a state driver’s license with real id.
  4. First time I had the grilled lamb chops was in a Greek restaurant in Nurnberg Germany really good. I always ordered them after that. A new Egyptian restaurant recently opened near us and I am looking forward to trying it.
  5. I am sorry a I can’t help but comment on this I know it’s thread drift or whatever. I just stripped an old lodge Dutch oven and a grill pan with oven cleaner. Reseasoned in the oven with coconut oil. Don’t know yet how it will do but sure did stink during the seasoning. My mom always used crisco to season and maintain her cast iron. I am sure she knew best. “thread drift off” …
  6. A common tactic by many in the area over there. Painting Red Crescents on all kinds of vehicles clearly being used for anything but medical aid.
  7. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-65110881 I had no idea that Israeli citizens had a 6 month wait period for a handgun permit. I remember the old days when you would see pictures of old men with uzi’s it was common. This article if the link works for you references increasing violence back in March of this year. Surely Mossad had some inkling this was coming.
  8. Good video but kind of all over the map. Lean manufacturing = Just in time delivery. Both concepts became popular after the Gulf War. DOD did away with the depot supply system and left us at the mercy of just in time supply chains. I think only thing I can say for sure from this is buy General Dynamics stock and Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing now!
  9. Seems I remember the IDF kicked ass in the Yom Kipper War. Oddly enough the Egyptian military considered that war a great military triumph and were hailed as heroes at home. I sat through a brief by Egyptian officers proudly presenting this point of view. I believe the IDF will handle their business. I do wonder if somehow Russia has some hand in encouraging this with their ally Iran. US and EU munitions stockpiles are getting low.
  10. I remember him from Man from Uncle and more recently from NCIS. He will missed.
  11. I cut myself on a leek also. It just is a little awkward handling to me. I never carry without locking it now and don’t carry it often. I have a couple assisted opening kershaws and a gerber assisted. Don’t own any autos. I carry manual thumb open blades like spyderco mostly and Ontario.
  12. I approve of soup year round. For a long time my work lunch was a can of soup. At home make a lot of soups fall and winter. We especially like it because we have leftovers, sometimes for a couple days. One favorite is Rachel Rays BLT soup. We also made chili, bison stew and a German version of cauliflower soup with beef.
  13. People have to lock up and not leave valuable in vehicles. What ever we can do to make it harder for them. Maybe they will move on to greener pastures. Only thing is in Memphis and Nashville they evolved to just breaking out car windows and going through them.
  14. They don’t want the truth to come out!https://fb.watch/mau8B6YH6Y/?mibextid=v7YzmG
  15. And somehow it’s always leads back to this!! Release all the JFK files!!! https://www.popularmechanics.com/military/aviation/a44575754/new-cia-documents-jfk-assassination-ufos/
  16. Yes I have sent a few springs into orbit over the years! The most recent about two years ago, was a Ruger LCP recoil spring, you know it’s consists of and outer and inner spring. I managed to launch one of them and couldn’t find it anywhere. Ordered a new set and to this day have never found the missing one. BTW I am a lefty and for decades thought how great it would be add an ambidextrous safety to ARs or 1911s. I never did I just adapted.
  17. One more thought. I remember the police in Clarksville had a grant for LPR cameras. What is the status on those? LPR cameras would sure help tracking also these stolen vehicles rolling in and out Clarksville. Please tell me the politicians didn’t kill that plan.
  18. They hit around North Clarksville last night as I am sure you know. Patrick Place and adjacent neighborhoods. My street was hit last night and has been many times. I always lock our vehicles and don’t leave anything in them and have never had a problem. Only thing I have ever seen was fingerprints on the vehicle windows. Always check my ring cameras and I haven’t ever seen anything suspicious on them. When I go out at night I carry even if it is just the backyard. And I completely agree I can’t understand why people can’t lock their vehicles and take valuables inside.
  19. Glad your power came back! The heat is no joke. Having a generator makes a big difference! On my brothers block only one house was running one. I took him non perishable food, a battery power pack and cases of water. He would not go back to Clarksville with me. But he has power now and doing well.
  20. Ok good news the power has come on for my brothers street. With the heat that is coming it is very good news. Mod’s feel free to delete this topic. Thanks
  21. https://www.commercialappeal.com/story/weather/2023/06/28/memphis-power-outages-boil-advisory-what-to-know-wednesday/70364290007/ They have gotten it down from over 100,000 to about 32k. Hoping they all get power today.
  22. Are they making more process today? I am specifically interested in knowing when the power comes back on in the area between Bartlett road and Thomas Road. I have an older brother on Rappahannock. https://outagemap.mlgw.org/OutageSummary.php Mlgw website isn’t much help they post a summary with numbers repaired and number still out. Their map is kind of useless. It was interesting navigating the intersections without traffic lights.
  23. Another case where celebrity gets special treatment. And it’s not the first time for Baldwin. So much negligence. Baldwin should have been charged properly. Can’t stand him! The armorer may not be so lucky.
  24. Definitely Walgreens will be sued and the shooter may face jail and lawsuits. For sure the shooter won’t likely work for Walgreens again. Employees in retail are not the police and it’s not worth loosing your life chasing after a shop lifter. No matter what management tells you, the company will not have your back if it goes sideways. He is lucky he was only peppered sprayed.
  25. I have a small Jackery and I was looking hard at getting a larger one. Then I saw Ecoflow! The more I read the more I liked the brand. So I just recently bought a Delta 2 to power my refrigerator and a couple essentials. Tested it out and worked great. I have a Champion inverter generator and solar panels. I may add more later.
