I know i wouldn't feel safe without my AR in the passenger seat in Memphis Good luck OP! My advice; unless you want your gun to be stolen while you get gas, I recommend you do put it in the trunk, and if you don't want your rifle to get torn up from sliding around then put it in a rifle bag.

I took my p938 extreme out to the range today. I was shooting blazer and hydra-shoks. I had 0 problems out of 60 or so rounds. I love the 9mm. It's definitely harder to shoot because its so small but I feel i can shoot it good enough to defend myself or others if need be. I cleaned it before I went to the range and oiled it only with Machine Gunners Lube which is a thicker oil (doesn't run that easily) in the normal spots (rail, upper slide where the barrel makes contact, and barrel). I also let some younger folks shoot it another 12 or so rounds and they didn't have any problems either.

go to the campus police station (if they have it) and ask them.

I forgot which thread it was but ever since someone posted this lever action on here, I wanted a 45-70. http://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/product_info.php/cPath/323/products_id/57852/Rifles/Marlin/Marlin%206%20+%201%2045-70%20Government%20w/18/quot;%20Stainless%20Barrel/Black/G/ Its such a beautiful gun!

New shooter and I'm horrible at it. Looking for training.

don't forget magpul's dvds... they are pricey though. Just go to the local range and find a friend (make sure he can shoot first though). Most ranges won't let you draw from from a holster for safety reasons, but you should get into the habit of drawing from your holster and shooting (slowly at first). Just don't try to go fast and shoot yourself in the leg and blame it on the holster like somebody on youtube did. -
I don't have any, but here is my brother's latest which gets covered up under his acu.

My advice is to simply tell the responding officer that it was self-defense. They have to start a homicide case that will go to grand jury where the grand jury will see if it was reasonable means for self-defense. It would go like this defend yourself since "you are in fear of your life" scan and holster your weapon call 911 and tell them it was a self defense shooting and give a good description of what you are wearing and that you holstered your weapon don't move too much so the detectives can recreate the scene and bag any evidence (including taking your weapon, clothes, unused ammo, and shell casings) inform the police of basic details so they know what happened and any possible witnesses or items needing medical attention. Before they ask questions let them know that you don't want to speak more until your lawyer arrives LEO would be the same except you should already have a lawyer ready (FOP or other organization). Also you may be compelled to give your department a statement just make sure this compelled "department" statement is protected from prosecution. You should obtain in writing that what you are saying is protected under Garrity Rule. http://www.policeone...ter-a-shooting/ http://www.njlawman.com/garrity.htm Then you will have to wait months to figure out what happens to the case. So a good idea is to make sure to put some lawyer's information in your phone in case something like this does happen.

i'm a fan of full auto bolts (BCM made). I haven't justified spending more to get a Nickel Boron BCG, but easier to clean does sound nice!

Really its up to which one you are used to. I used to like the M&P better, but after carrying my glock 22 for the last few years it has grown on me and I would chose a glock over M&P since I'm used to how it feels in my hand.

Check out this holster...pretty neat!

check out crossbreed if you don't mind waiting. for smaller guns you should try the mini-tuck. for minimalist designs they sell clips that attach to most guns slides. -
The minituck is available from crossbreed. Also the invisi-tuck is available from American Holster Co. I am still not sure which I am going to order. I haven't been to the range yet, but Limp Wristing is the main problem as you go smaller. Here are some pictures...

The USC are reliable and fun guns. You can always convert it into a UMP down the line too. With some shaving you can put high capacity UMP Mags.
-
the best part of a glock 45 is that you can get a kriss vector 45 sbr later and the mags are interchangeable...
-
As far as holsters I am not sure yet. The slide is a tad bit longer than a 238, but I'm sure that won't matter too much. I e-mailed crossbreed on a holster so I will find out soon. I am still amazed at how small the gun is for a 9mm. It's beautiful and it was much cheaper than a Springfield EMP in 9mm...

I was at TN Gun Country today and I saw this little beauty next to a Sig P238. They looked almost identical but the Sig P938 shoots 9MM. I couldn't resist so I am a happy owner of a new Sig P938 Extreme. Did anyone else get one of these newer guns? http://www.sigsauer.com/CatalogProductDetails/p938-extreme.aspx John Platt

I have dish network and when i called to complain that I'm missing Breaking Bad, they gave me $10 off a month and a free Roku 2 XD device to stream Breaking Bad from Amazon. They also told me to call and they will reimburse the price of the episodes from Amazon ($2.99 per episode so it's another $12 a month reimbursed).

your probably pulling it down because your thinking about the recoil. You can get a partner and do drills where either he loads one or doesn't load one and hands you the gun and then you shoot it. if you pull down then you need some work. As far as the XDs I wanted to get one. I didn't like the weight/width of a loaded Glock 27 so I wanted to make the switch but the M&P shield in .40 is making me think twice. We need pictures of your targets at 15 yards though!

i cheated and looked it up. its actually a fake gun that wasn't modeled after any specific firearm. http://www.imfdb.org/wiki/File:Ng_pistol_ND_blk.jpg http://www.imfdb.org/wiki/Sopranos,_The#Non_Descript_Pocket_Pistol

I was offered to participate in a group by for $165 for a stripped Yankee Hill Machine AR-15 upper/lower. Its such a great price that I don't want to pass it up. Has anyone dealt with stripped uppers/lowers and can vouch for their fit/quality? Pics?

take a look at storm lake. They've been making ported barrels for a while but they do cost more than other brands. They are made in TN and they have an extended barrel with two ports for $175. They also have discounts for LEO/Military.

yeah, the battlecomp really does a great job at controlling muzzle rise and recoil in general. Just don't shoot too close to a friend or they will feel the gasses headed for their face. Mine is a midlength BCM Upper (EAG Tactical) with a pinned battlecomp 1.5 on a 14.6" barrel, it's awesome and fun too shoot, just a tad-bit heavy. As others have said, 0 problems and accuracy out of the box. In the future I plan on getting a lower to finish the BCM (right now I'm using a DPMS Lower).

Middle Tennessee Gunsmithing Brandon Is an awesome guy to work with http://www.midtngunsmithing.com/ -
wow, that looks very nice!

for a plain vertical grip look at tango down with the built in pressure switch pockets. They hold the switches a little easier. or if you don't want a pocket, the tango down stubby is pretty nice too.

New Magpul Pmag 30 M3 Magazines are coming out. Mainly they will address problems with Scars and other guns where the bolt would hit the previous Pmags (unless you cut the magazines yourself and opened it up), but they also are made of a better plastic and they will work with the new Pmag Coupler. http://store.magpul.com/product/MAG556/2 http://store.magpul.com/product/MAG595/22 COMING SUMMER 2012! The next-generation PMAG 30 M3 MagLevel is a 30-round 5.56x45 NATO (.223 Remington) polymer magazine for AR15/M16 compatible weapons that features transparent windows to allow rapid visual identification of approximate number of rounds remaining. Along with expanded feature set and compatibility, the M3 MagLevel incorporates new material technology and manufacturing processes for enhanced strength, durability, and reliability to exceed rigorous military performance specifications. Modified internal and external geometry also permits operation with a wide range of non Colt®-spec platforms such as the HK® 416 and MR556A1, M27 IAR, British SA-80, FN® SCAR™ MK 16/16S, and others. A redesigned bolt catch notch in the rear of the magazine provides increased bolt catch clearance, while an over-travel stop on the spine helps ensure the magazine will not over-insert on compatible weapons. Similar to the standard PMAG 30, the M3 MagLevel features a long-life stainless steel spring, four-way anti-tilt follower and constant-curve internal geometry for reliable feeding, and simple tool-less disassembly to ease cleaning. In addition, a included pop-off Impact/Dust Cover can optionally be used to minimize debris intrusion and protect against potential damage during storage and transit. Low profile ribs and new aggressive front and rear texture gives positive control of the PMAG 30 M3 in all environments, and a paint pen dot matrix has been added to the bottom panel of the the body to allow easy marking by the end user for magazine identification. The easy to disassemble standard flared floorplate provides drop protection and aids extraction, but can be replaced by the optional PMAG Ranger Plate for increased handling or slim-line internal floorplate for improved compatibility with most double and triple magazine pouches. Durable dual-side transparent windows allow for quick determination of approximate number of rounds remaining in the magazine. Utilizing a high visibility indicator coil on the spring and numerical markers on the magazine body, the MagLevel system provides positive verification without affecting the durability or reliability of the magazine.
