I've been around boats all of my life, worked in the boat business. At first when I saw this project I just shook my head and wondered why you were taking it on. You have done a fantastic job! Looks like steller craftsmanship, you have rally brought the old girl into her prime!

The 24, especially in .410/22 is one of those guns I'm always keeping an eye out for. Seems the current going rate on them is around $400 in decent shape. I can't get intrested in the 42, just too dang ugly with an attempted dose of tacticool. It's not a gun that I need or would likely use often but when I find one in the $200-300 range it's going home with me.

I just renewed by mail and didn't have to get a new picture. I did get a new picture the last time I renewed.

What's your favorite mid-range rifle caliber?

I'm a .270 snob as well. Mine is a Mauser M96. Accurate, not expensive to hunt with anyway. It kills deer very well but does not tear up meat bad. Out of 2 dozen plus deer I've killed with this gun I've had maybe 5 that didn't fall in their tracks, all but one of them just ran a few yards. -
PM sent BimmerFreak.

I have an idea that I'm wanting to patent. I've done some preliminary research and it seems that I will need to contact a patent attorney. Looks like the process it self isn't that difficult it just usually takes the patent office YEARS to issue the patent.

Sent mine off 2 days ago, we'll see, I'm in good shape, doesn't expire until January. I wish they would get the HCP synchd up with the DL to where it expires every 5 years and I could renew both at once. I guess that would be asking too much of the state though.

I despise watches because I despise having to have to do anything at a certain time, which for the most part I do not. However, could someone pease explain to me the benefit of a Bluetooth enabled watch? I'm just curious as to what that does.

The fact that no one was injured makes me think even more that it was set up by an anti. Think about it, they supposedly got the rifle past security, who would have checked it to see if it was loaded and/or chambered. They then sold it to a vendor, any gun guy worth his salt would have checked to see if it was loaded before ever making an offer (checking the operation of the action and whatnot.) Then someone simply walks up and pulls the trigger and the gun goes off, I'm sure I'm wrong but I would like to think that anyone at a gun show wouldn't do something that careless. This just doesn't add up to me as a simple oversight.

They are kept on a stand, tetered by their jesses. A raptor can leave at its own will during a hunt and never come back if it chooses. Normally they will return to the falconer as soon as they get finished hunting.

Am I the only one that thinks this was a stunt pulled by some anti gunners? That's the only ting that makes sense to me.

Goes to show that you always check the chamber before pulling the trigger for breakdown. Maybe he knew better and had a dumb moment, it happens to the best of us. Maybe he just didn't know t always look first. I don't want to armchair QB this I just want everyone who reads this to make it a practice to check the chamber before pulling the trigger for breakdown.

Dave S, this picture was shot from almost the same position we are just looking over a little to the left of the first picture. I'm not sure if you can zoom in on the picture and see it or not (I can on the origional image) but there are Union cannons lined up out in the feild.

I looked into it at one point in time when I had a lot more time and money. I think tha falconry is more of a way of life than it is a hobby. After great consideration I decided not to get into it as I didn't feel comfortable making the commitment required to take care of the birds.

It takes me about 2 minutes but I cheat. I have what I call my skinning cable. It's a 10 foot long cable with a loop in each end. I hang the deer from its neck, then I make all the cuts you would normally make to skin a deer. I then peel back a little bit of skin fom the back of the neck and wrap up a fist sized rock in the hide. I then loop one end of the cable around the outside of the hide with the rock on the inside. I loop the other end of the cable over the ball hitch on my truck and slowly drive forward, the skin will peel right off. Saves a bunch of time.

Just read the video game thread and figured some people here ping, Mike .357, would be intrested. I took this picture at Pea Ridge National Park in Northwest Arkansas last week. That rock you see there is the top of a rock column about 30 feet across there were a few of them there. The Confederates hid behind them but were eventually run out or killed by artillery fire. I have a few more pictures if anyone is intrested.

Wait a minute. You found kids in the year 2013 that were outside, and throwing rocks? If this seems to be a problem go down to your local pawn shop, plop down $99 on an Xbox and give it to the kids. Garuntee you will never see them again.

I updated yesterday and have not had issues posting today. My Netflix isn't working right though, the video and audio are all out of synch. I hate Windows 8 with a passion but my old lap top was about to bite the dust and I'm not shelling over the money for an Apple. Still have a lot of problems with it though. I usually have at least one crash a day while editing photos.

First thing I do in the evenings is walk into the bedroom and put my gun on top of the dresser. I used to have guns scattered about the house but that doesn't fly now with a 4 year old, everything has to stay out of access to her. I know I'm taking a chance but we live in a good neighboorhood with really good neighbors. It's a chance I'm willing to take.

Just got a PM from Tanker he's out due to circumstances beyond his control. If anyone else wants to do this ride or just do a ride in this area in general post up, I know all of the local roads and would be glad to guide a ride.

I put my two week in at Walmart and they let me go 2 days later. Looking back now I wouldn't have given them notice. I always give notice when I leave a job though, I think it's the right thing to do. Good luck with the new job. Yet another great example that when a person loses a job you can in fact get another job, it just takes a little effort.

Honestly, the earlier the better for me, I have the gear for it and the wife will be happier the earlier I get home. But, I do things quite often that leave others scrating their heads.

I don't think that the Cherohala is harder, the Cherohala has surprise decreasing radius turns that sneak up on people and kill them. Pay attention to what you are doing and leave some in reserve and you will be fine. At 7 am the high elevations of the Cherohala will likely be in the 20-30's. I reccomend The Hub in Robbinsville for food and coffee. Of the dates mentioned I can only do the 3rd. I'm just about 30 miles from the Cherohala on the Tellico side.

Haven't seen any around here but I went down to Hwy 72 in North Alabama a few weeks ago and they were all over the place.
