  1. I had a 62 1/2 Tempest which was the same car as the 63. The engine was a 389 with the left bank lopped off. Exactly 1/2 of a 389. I spent a lot of time working on it during the 6 months I owned it. Traded it for a brand new 1972 Nova SS. Huge upgrade for an 18 year old for sure.
  2. I have a Glock 30sf and it's my favorite of all the Glocks, I guess that's why I bought one. Very accurate and dependable pistol. Never tried the Hipoint carbine but I have a Ruger PC carbine and it would be a great home defense also. The Glock can double as home defense and concealed carry would be a good reason to go with it.
  3. I don't have a problem with anyone buying ammo at whatever price they are willing to pay if they need it. Personally, I stocked up when it was cheap and replaced what I shoot as I went. Now it's sky high in price and I don't buy any until the price comes down (who knows when that will be). In the meantime I haven't been shooting much and when I do it's .22 long rifle because I have plenty.
  4. I have had zero issues with my p365. I bought some 15 round magazines to carry as spares and when at the range. It shoots like a bigger gun with the 15 rounders inserted. Haven't tried a Hellcat so I can't comment on it. The Sig rides in my pocket like it's not there and is easy to draw. I also carry an FNS9 comcast IWB quite often.
  5. I can't begin to know your pain but I will say a prayer for you and her.
  6. They also have a store in Lynchburg. Not cheap but made in Tennessee I believe and I hear they are comfy and last a long time.
  7. Not to worry. Anyone that's a productive member of society will eventually pay a lot more than $600 back in taxes. If they would only deal with Covid instead of throw all the pork into the bill it wouldn't bother me so much.
  8. The lighter spring that comes extra in the bag with the tactical model is there for shooting with a suppressor. It worked better in mine with the lighter bullets until it was broken in well. Great shooter now with any ammo or spring.
  9. Great news, continue to heal and stay in contact through TGO.
  10. Be sure to switch to the lighter recoil spring if shooting 115 grain bullets to avoid FTF while it's new. Good to go with either spring with 124 grain or bigger. You will love this pistol.
  11. I have FNP45, FNX9, FNS9 compact and 509 tactical. They are all great guns that have always run flawlessly. The 509T does have a break in period with 115 grain ammo unless you switch to the lighter recoil spring that comes with it. It loves the heavier weight and +p ammo. Expensive mags aren't that big of a deal since it comes with one 17 round and two 24 round mags. It's a keeper for me.
  12. Whenever the "Ginger or Mary Ann" question comes up I have always gone with Mary Ann. Sad news
  13. Praying for a Christmas miracle for you to get better Robert and I think you know that we all care. I live in Murfreesboro and had recent shoulder surgery but I can still get around if needed so don't hesitate to message me if I can do anything for you.
  14. CDNN stopped selling ammo not too long ago. I guess they decided time was right to get back in.
  15. I too have the fuzzy front sight syndrome. I installed the Big Dot on my FNS9 compact and Ruger LCR and am very pleased. I tried red dot on various handguns but like them better on long guns.
  16. We checked it out about 5:30 with binoculars. Pretty cool. Happens again in 2080. I'm not staying up for that one.
  17. I've made several purchases at the store here in the boro. Hope it remains as good as it has been so far. Got a sweet deal on a Ruger carbine on a one day sale. Ordered it online and picked it up at the store. No shipping or FFL fees.
  18. My good friend Bill Irwin is the only blind person to thru hike the entire Appalahcian trail. He did this with help from his guide dog. His dog had no training how to read trail markings but lead him the whole way. Bill and the dog have both passed on now but quite an inspiring story. https://www.guideposts.org/better-living/travel/led-by-faith-to-conquer-the-appalachian-trail
  19. Merry Christmas BersaGuy and everyone else on TGO.
