  1. I carry Gold Dots most of the time but will occasionally load up with Hornady Critical Defense.
  2. I bought a model 64 just like the one in the add around 1980 I'm guessing. Should never have let it go. Excellent firearm.
  3. I worked in hospitals for 41 years and saw plenty of things very similar to this. Both male and female. I have often wondered why they refer to this as using "recreational drugs". Doesn't appear to be my kind of recreation.
  4. I think maybe THIS place is meant to be TGO. I could be wrong.
  5. I have had 3 -6 birds still feeding today. Made up a new batch of food just now. Probably will be the last I have to make but want to be sure and have plenty for the birds that haven't yet left and the passers through.
  6. My guess he's talking about this place. But just a guess.

    My Mother

Sorry for your loss. Alzheimer's/ Dementia is a cruel way to go. She is in peace now.
  8. I've had a praying mantis perched on one of my feeders for a week or two. Didn't see any harm until someone sent me this video. I had no idea......
  9. Several years ago I was talking to the neighbor across the street when we heard shots from the other neighbor's house about 100 yards away and ricochets pinging off of his brick house right where we were standing. The neighborhood kid was practicing with his new .22 rifle and had no awareness of what was behind his targets down the hill from his yard. Needless to say, he and his parents got an earful.
  10. The Guess Who, Alice Cooper, Jimmy Buffett and Coral Reefer band, Santana, George Thorogood, Steppenwolf, CSN&Y, Roy Orbison, Van Morrison and most of the other bands I have seen listed here.
  11. 1. CCR 2. Lynyrd Skynyrd 3. Beatles 4. Bob Seger/Silver Bullet Band 5. Little Feat. The list could get much longer with many of the above mentioned bands and more but you only asked for 5.
  12. One of these is definitely in my near future. I really like all my FN handguns.
  13. I have 2 regulars at my feeders. Last year at this time I had 6 regulars for the rest of the year.
  14. Hi, Fred, this is Richard, next door. I’ve got a confession to make. I’ve been riddled with guilt for a few months and have been trying to get up the courage to tell you face-to-face. At least I’m telling you in this text and I can’t live with myself a minute longer without you knowing about this. The truth is that when you’re not around I’ve been sharing your wife, day and night. In fact, probably much more than you. I haven’t been getting it at home recently and I know that that’s no excuse. The temptation was just too great. I can’t live with the guilt and hope you’ll accept my sincere apology and forgive me. Please suggest a fee for usage and I’ll pay you. Regards, Richard Neighbor’s response: Fred, feeling so angered and betrayed, grabbed his gun and shot Richard, killing him. He went back home and poured himself a stiff drink and sat down on the sofa. Fred then looked at his phone and discovered a second text message from Richard. Second text message: Hi, Fred. Richard here again. Sorry about the typo on my last text. I expect you figured it out and noticed that the damned Auto-Correct had changed “wi-fi” to “wife.” Technology, huh? It’ll be the death of us all. Regards, Richard
  15. I've seen 3 during the last 2 weeks since I hung my feeders out. Never more than one at a time on any feeder so far.
  16. I'm for cremation too. I was standing on top of Mt. Pisgah admiring the scenery and I asked my friend with me if he was still flying his plane and I went first if he would fly over the Blue Ridge and scatter my ashes. He said "Sure, I'll just put you out through the relief tube". I guess it won't really matter then. LOL
  17. I play a Martin DX 1 that I've had for 16 years. Not by any means near the price for a D28 but it plays and sounds great. Just about anything that has C.F. Martin on the headstock will sound good. I would like to have one of the ones you are considering too however. Maybe someday....
  18. I use Gold Dots in my Glock 30sf and also in my FNP45. Never had any issues with them after firing about 150 rounds of Gold Dot 230 grain in each gun. I sometimes load the FNP with +P rounds because it doesn't recoil as much as the Glock.
  19. I have done business with REI since the 80's. They are boycotting selling a lot of the very products that I would normally buy from them because of their gun control stance even though those products aren't really gun related except for the fact that Vista Sports makes them. I really only buy during special sales anymore anyway because their everyday prices are as high as you can find anywhere but it's time to cut the cord altogether. Getting a new credit card from somewhere else then cutting up the REI card. http://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/2018/03/robert-farago/outdoor-retailer-rei-temporarily-bans-vista-outdoors-non-gun-products/
  20. If it's the video I saw he said he's had the gun about 15 years. Probably wore the barrel out by now and needed to replace it anyway. Got his 15 minutes of fame.
  21. But officer, I told Google maps to take me somewhere to get a "Mars Bar".
  22. So, how much $$$ is a ticket for going 25,000 miles per hour?
  23. Welcome to the forum. Maybe we can welcome you to Tennessee sometime soon too.
  24. That's a tough one. I usually carry either an FNS9c or my LCR .357. Sometimes both. The LCR might get the nod just because it's good for pocket carry or IWB. Haven't found a pocket holster yet that doesn't come out of the pocket with the FNS when trying to draw.
