  1. What's your initial impression? I feel like right side charging would be great for prone shooting, but the Gibbz seems to be the go to one.
  2. What kind is yours?
  3. Title says it all, thoughts on side chargers. Considering one for a 6.5 Grendel build.
  4. Can't claim it as mine, that came with the knife.
  5. Reading about it online it seems like he had a nuclear meltdown on Blade Forums. Then again it seems like that happens to a lot of the knife makers.
  6. That's interesting. Wonder what the deal is there.
  7. Will do. Gotta say I don't think I'll be purchasing another of their products. It's nice, don't get me wrong, but I just wasn't really wowed by how the whole process went down.
  8. I'll be sure to do that. Apparently nothing has changed with them because getting these was a huge deal after "production and supplier issues."
  9. This knife has finally arrived and is now in my hands. I ordered it from the Kickstarter that DPX was doing for an all US produced knife because I thought it would make a nice daily carry knife. This particular one is the "Bronze Edition" because it's literally bronze in color. The other options was the "Sterile Edition" and the "Mr. DP." Specs: GAL4v Titanium frame S30v stainless blade Glass breaker Stainless pocket clip Wire strippers 1/4" hex drive Bottle opener/notch to open it like the Emerson Wave.
  10. I'm a fan. I'm also a fan of the underfolder. Like Btq96r said it makes it nice and easy to transport.
  11. Joined the Facebook group for it. If I'm around and avaliable at the time I'd certainly like to participate.
  12. Don't personally know anything about SKD but I've yet to hear anything bad about them. Some people will say Condor will be fine if you can look at it before you buy but others say don't waste your money. Mayflower will probably out of your price range unless you find a used one but they're built more around the ar platform than ak. Exception coming to mind being the Gen V which has inserts for 308, ar,and ak. Spiritus would be in the price range but again they don't have anything yet for AK magazines. You could probably get an HSGI AO chest rig as well under that price range. The last thing that comes to mind is the Extreme Gear Labs VOCR or the Haley Strategic chest rig, which is more or less the same thing. All of the above are also compatible with Swift Clips that you see on some plate carriers so they can be stand alone or attached directly.
  13. Yes, I do. Spiritus Systems has a really nice looking rig that I'm going to order at some point that seems to be really modular.
  14. Tagged for reference and because I want to see how this turns out.
  15. I like that. I make some on occasion out of old G3 slings and clips.
  16. I think you have one or two things confused.
  17. 173rd on here is also in the Hendersonville area and he's a great guy to work with.
  18. If you're not beating your rifle around Vortex will get the job done. I have one of their red dots on a rifle of mine and a friend has 4 on his rifles and neither one of us has had any issues. Their scopes are nice as well. Those might push your budget some but it would be worth it to at least look into them.
  19. The Ghost connector I think makes it a fair amount cleaner too. You can (or I did) tell a difference between factory and Ghost connector.
  20. Haven't seen that one. I'll have to look it up.
  21. Does a box of Rpk parts count? I'm in the middle of a hopefully unique Rpk build.
  22. For educational sake, why cast?
  23. Man, I really like those but I don't know if it's something I could justify buying.
  24. Once you do one you'll end up with several. Checked my closet last night and I've got 5, could have sworn it was only 2. All joking aside if you end up going the build route I can help you out with that because I've got all the tools assemble uppers and lowers.
