  1. He must be a fan of the New York Reload.
  2. Well I was meaning what gun to do next, thinking an M1 Garand or Carbine.
  3. This was fun to do so I think I might do some more drawings. Any suggestions?
  4. It will be a first for me as well. I'm in Knoxville but if we could get a couple people together a build party could be arranged.
  5. Here in the next couple weeks I'm buying the jig to bend the flats for the HK guns.
  6. ^They make completion kits for these. I've got a Sten kit sitting around that I need to finish up one day.
  7. I had some free time tonight so I decided to do a drawing of my recent AK build. Started out to do a more technical drawing but got part way through and said screw it, so I ended up with this. It's hard to tell from the photo but it's actual size of an ak.
  8. If you want more info PM me and I'll shoot you my phone number.
  9. I personally like building from parts kits, it's a fun way to get a new gun. Plus you can say "I built this." You're going to need to source the barrel and receiver for it or at least the flat to bend into the receiver. Outside of that it's converting your fire control to semi auto, pressing the barrel in and heads pacing it, and getting the rest of the needed parts out of the chopped up bits plus welded back on. All in all if you want to put in the work for it I'd say go for it, but it's not going to be like putting an AR together. To see how others have done it check out Weaponeer and Weaponsguild, both are great resources.
  10. PKM owners, I need some pictures of the front trunnion and barrel locking assembly for research purposes. There isn't much online for me to go off of. PM me and I can be more specific in what I'm looking for.
  11. I'm not even close to being an expert but I can at least tell you where I went wrong.
  12. Just got done with my test shooting. Put about 180 rounds through it without it blowing up in my face, so that's good....
  13. I went with the Atlantic Firearms barrel.
  14. Last night I finally had the time to finish up my AK build that has been sitting dormant for a while now. Many thanks to one un-named member with helping me through the barrel press in and head spacing. This is the before: This is the after:
  15. I heard they had even more than that in storage lol. It is fantastic seeing that though.
  16. If you're looking for an SKS, check SIA over in Hardin Valley. I bought a Chinese one from them a month or so back for $299.
  17. Don't worry, I can make you an AIWB holster for that. lol
  18. Finish some various projects that got delayed due to a surprise ER visit.
  19. Kershaw is in my top three favorite knives, have several that I regularly carry.
  20. It's like Christmas come early. This knife is on the way and my DPX should be here shortly as well.
  21. Has he checked to make sure the piston extension is there?
  22. I used to get the paintballs and air from Play it Again Sports. Not sure if there are any that way.
  23. Yeah, little 6mm plastic balls. They sting but you don't get the thump like with paintball.
  24. I've got a gun and I'm down for a game anytime.
  25. I like that they're shooting an MG42 or MG3 and launching ghetto pipe bombs from an AK.
