As a Vandy fan, I gotta ask: When does basketball season start?

Anyone been by this new shop? My wife pointed it out as we drove by on Old Hickory tonight. They are beside the new Subway near Sams Club. I'll try to stop by and see what's up with them this weekend.

Someone let me try out their MP-40 at Owl Hollow several years ago. Full auto and historical fun at the same time. The nicest pistol I've shot is a Nighthawk stainless T3. Nighthawk puts together a sweet 1911.

Careful, Glocks are gateway guns. The next thing you know, he'll have a safe full of revolvers, ARs and 1911s!

Thanks for providing a little active military perspective to this discussion. I always knew you were good for something! I think its important to hear what the soldiers prefer - and not just individual viewpoints. I'd like to know what the spread is on the survey - it would be interesting to see how large this majority is.

Getting my HCP actually helped me with my temper. I realize the responsibility of carrying and know that I *always* have to be the bigger man and walk away from frustrating situations. If you happen to print and you're angry, someone will probably call the cops about the crazy guy with a gun, even if you aren't doing anything to justify it.

Well said. I carry a 239 in .40 short and weak most of the time. Its a great carry piece - if you are comfortable with only 8 rounds of ammo or carrying a spare mag.

One of the slimmest semi-auto's I've shot is the HK P7. Now, they are expensive and rather heavy. But they are slim and accurate!
