  1. Well, I don't guess I'll be stopping by to eat anytime soon! Its a Sig 239 - my EDC.
  2. Welcome to TGO! Stay around and make yourself at home. Since you are a chef, where do you work? (and are they posted?)
  3. Full auto weapons are legal in Tennessee, as long as you follow all NFA rules. You must have a copy of your tax stamp with you. If you are traveling into other states (than your home state) with a NFA firearm, you must get permission from the BATFE first and all the states you are visiting must allow NFA weapons. Whew!
  4. On one occasion, years ago, I cashed a check at Regions for $5500. They had no problem giving me that in $100s. This was at their downtown Nashville location - a branch would've probably freaked out. I got some strange looks from the bank personnel over that one... It was for home renovations.
  5. I'm cross eye dominant - right handed, left eye dominant. I also slightly tilt my pistol to the left. It looks strange to most people but it works well enough for me. A slight counter-clockwise tilt just really helps me see the sights better.
  6. Jeff at Mossy Creek Custom sometimes offers classes during the week. He is in Nashville. Custom Gunsmithing for Glocks, Remington Shotguns, AR-15's and Revolvers - Mossy Creek Custom
  7. Guns and Leather is in Greenbriar. They are worth the drive. They stock Class III stuff and readily deal with trusts.
  8. Maybe this means there will be some old ATF Sigs on the market soon...
  9. They also take your prints electronically instead of the old ink-and-paper method. That should help speed up the actual process. Its the government, running around is supposed to be good for you!
  10. If your tires have directional tread, this won't work.
  11. Long guns too. You can purchase a long gun from an out of state FFL and bring it home. You have to take possession of a handgun from an in-state FFL. If you buy out of state, the handgun has to be transferred to a FFL in your state of residence. A rule of thumb is any gun that crosses state lines is going to require a FFL to get involved to stay legal. There are exceptions in the case of wills, etc.
  12. I've got a T3T (stainless version) and its a great carry gun. If I ever get to where I'm not the limiting factor when shooting the Nighthawk, I'll be one heck of a pistol shooter!
  13. If you have a car and want to kill a bunch of time sitting it traffic, the Winchester house is down in San Jose. I was in San Jose in 2008 on business and really wanted to get by the Winchester house but I just didn't have time. It would have been cool to tour.
  14. I stopped by today also. Brought my wife along with me for will power! Some shop layout as before (hard to do much differently in the available space) - but much more personable staff. I'll definitely be back when I'm looking for new 'tools'. We needed a good gun shop in West Nashville.
  15. California? If so, they wouldn't let you have that T3 anyway. From what I understand, Nighthawk has to ship the T3 without the mag well to CA. You know that mag well is the cause of so many gun crimes! BTW, I picked up a T3T last year (same gun, just in stainless). I absolutely love it.
  16. I love the fact it has a rail - so you can add optics!
  17. As I understand it, the 5320.20 isn't needed for suppressors. I think you can still file one for a can, but it isn't required.
  18. This woot-off is about over. The BoC usually signals they are winding down.
  19. My powered attic fans quit working back in June. I went up in the attic and found and fixed the problem - it was a wiring issue. By the time I was finished, I was about to pass out. I have a wireless temperature sensor in the attic and it was 138*. I felt like I was working in a sauna!
  20. I think the OP was asking to see the company policy. They couldn't produce it. Probably because they didn't have one. The manager was making policy up as he goes along. It sounds to me like they were looking for a reason (even though they don't need one in a right to work state) to get rid of the OP. Maybe they wanted to get rid of the OP 'for cause'? Granted, the OP could have handled things better than throwing around company property. To the OP, I doubt your meeting is going to produce anything. Some of management wants rid of you and you want a better job. Its probably for the best that you part ways.
  21. In that case, you are stuck with them. I didn't realize things out of your control were tying you to them, otherwise I wouldn't have even brought up changing banks.
  22. Sure you can, there are other banks. Or, the bank could post that OC is not allowed - TCA does allow that. I've already brought up changing banks to my wife. Maybe I'll find a smaller bank that will listen to customers and not tell them "nothing you can do".
  23. Just tell her you bought two inexpensive guns rather than one REALLY pricey one. Take her to a shop that sells high end 1911s to show her what they can cost.
  24. That was the branch I was at on Tuesday. It was posted Tuesday afternoon. Anyone know if it was posted before or after the robbery? Well, it was robbed on Monday afternoon. I guess they think that little sticker on the door would have stopped the bank robber.
