According to the City of Knoxville it is not a park.  Until that is resolved in court (a case has been filed) then those signs on the door that have been at every RK show for years:  NO LOADED FIREARMS, NO CONCEALED CARRY still stand.

I say drill but I'd use a bit equal to or maybe slightly smaller than the pin.  If you have a variable speed drill use a low setting so it doesn't get away from you.   I'm thinking that's your only option.

Both.  I actually prefer the UTG as it has more surface area but it has a tendency to come off.  The solid, screw-on is fine as well but don't torque down the screws to hard.  They are kind of cheap and there is nothing but a small washer for the screw head to seat on with only rubber underneath.

Consider an M1A or perhaps an M1A Scout Squad.  I recently acquired one in Walnut and it's the bee's knees.  Haven't scoped it or reached out past 100 yards with irons yet but it is more than capable and I find myself questioning the need for any other rifles.   http://www.springfield-armory.com/products/m1a-scout-squad/
