  1. Your test didn't work.  Try again.
  2. I commenced the upgrade this morning on a Toshiba Satellite C55 using the iso downloaded and burned to disk.  Took just under 2 hours.  Uninstalled Symantec Endpoint Protection as the process recommended.  Did not need any 3rd party drivers.   So now my much hated laptop with Windows 8.1 is running Windows 10.  I already like it better but there were several things I immediately turned off...too much location information, share your info with Microsoft, etc. stuff that is completely unnecessary.  Only spent a few minutes on it since but Windows Update sucks with no obvious setting for it to not automatically runs whenever it wants.  Have not decided what I think about Edge, Internet Explorer's replacement.....Firefox still works just fine.   Things are easier to get to but this version of Windows, just like 8/8.1, assumes you want to be online all the time and is tailored for the lowest common denominator when it comes to users.   I cannot tolerate background processes or random applications running and constantly beaming information over the internet.  As I continue to find apps and setting in 10 that do so I'll post here.  Please share any setting you uncover that relate to constant connections and information "sharing".
  3. It'd be even cooler if they made clear barrels.
  4. Going....Going....
  5. I've had to hold a punch to the "button" (it's actually the top of the spring that holds the trigger group in) and smack it with a hammer while simultanously pulling outward on the trigger guard on mine.  It's a three-handed operation.   If you get it to a point where you know the button is not engaged you'll have to devise a way to beat outward on the trigger guard.  I believe I mounted a pipe small enough to go through the guard in a vise and then just knocked the gun off the trigger group.
  6. Some are very, very difficult to pop.  If it's never been removed there may still be some sticky old cosmoline in there.
  7. Has anyone written the ATF for an opinion letter yet?  The regulations usually come right after that.
  8. Maybe going to see the White House with a truck full of guns while passing through town is not a good idea...   http://www.wbir.com/story/news/2015/07/29/sevierville-driver-carrying-guns-arrested-after-white-house-query/30852283/
  9. California does have a state-wide restriction on mags greater than 10 rounds but those owned before Jan. 1, 2000 are legal.
  10.   Bump what?  Did you find a deal?

  16. I'd like to expand the question if Willis doesn't mind. Just how much handgun training do recruits get in any branch of the service? Sent using wizardry.

  21.   There is a difference.  "Mil-spec" handle has a higher shelf that the sight assembly itself sits on.
  22. Palmetto State carries a good one....http://palmettostatearmory.com/index.php/catalog/product/view/id/1393/....but it's $80 now/this week.  They go on sale from time to time though.   Or you could post up a WTB ad in the Trading Post.   You're right they're not as common anymore.  I tried finding a used one at the gun shows but they are usually pretty beat up.  I'd rather pay the extra $20-30 to look good during my operations.
  23. Does she know what it's worth?  IMHO, you have an obligation to let her know and if you make and offer significantly less than that, also let her know why.
  24. I love those old sci-fi & horror movies.
  25. How big is this guy's basement?
