  1. There is no reasonable explanation for current .22 prices other than pure, unadulterated greed based on ignorance.   This all started right after Sandy Hook in December of 2012.  Why, I have no idea because there is no reasonable explanation.   The factories are still pumping it out at the same price they were two years ago....assuming a slight increase there as they jack prices every year.   BTW, there are probably 908 threads on this forum addressing the same question.  ;)
  2.   Much like the people who give a crap or even know who Bruce Jenner is.
  3. Once the governor signs a bill it is law.  Period.  Not when new law books get printed or LexisNexis gets updated.     The conference committee report that was the end result of the original bill clearly states it "shall take effect upon becoming law".  BTW, the original bill stated it would take effect April 6th.
  4. Now the tri-cities .22 scumbag resellers have a new place to line up every morning.
  5. Pretty sure no Yugo's have chrome-lined bores.  Certainly not melonited unless it was done here.
  6. No doubt. Probably some dolt allowed his or her computer to spell the word and it just "looked right". Vocabulary is another big problem with most during contributing to our downfall.
  7.   State parks were cleared for carrying several years ago.  As the Lemur said, this removes the capability of local municipalities banning the practice in local parks.
  8.   People's spelling has gotten so bad the freaking legislature has pass a law to fix ignorant mistakes.   Another sign of the sad days ahead.
  9. Liberal heads are exploding across the state.
  10.   Not hardly.  Hate to burst your bubble but The South is full of democrats.  Just like the rest of the county the overwhelming majority of urban areas, i.e., the population centers, vote blue in national elections.  It doesn't help that everyone else in the country wants to move down here bringing their politics with them...no offense.
  11.   Doubtful.  Prices on mil-surps really don't drop, regardless of surplus ammo availability.  Some do not appreciate in value as much as others but I'm not aware of any that actually decrease in value.   Mausers are a fine example.  Everyone's heard the stories of guys buying German-made 98's out of barrels at the gas station for $20 each.  Well, try to find one now for less than $500-600 on the low end.  Surplus ammo for those has just about dried up.
  12. "What does the fox say?"
  13.   More like gag me with a spoon of the cinnamon challenge.
  14. The .40 reigns supreme.   I would advise he invest in some Bear repellent spray.
  15.   It's gone up quite a bit since it was last available but.....http://www.sgammo.com/product/762x39/1260-rounds-762x39-non-magnetic-copper-fmj-brass-case-corrosive-yugoslavian-surplus-a
  16. That's a mighty fine looking rifle!

    RIA Deal?

If you're looking for a Commander-sized 1911....buy it.  Good price.
  18.   It happens everyday, everywhere.  I really don't see what the problem is.   If I go buy two quarter pounders at McDonald's today then get a coupon tomorrow for buy one get one free should I go back and ask for a refund? No.   If I buy anything today and it goes on sale tomorrow, why should I or anyone else, expect to be compensated?
  19.   You won't find brass-cased x39 for that price or less unless you want corrosive, non-reloadable surplus.  Unless you have a bolt-action x39 and are pushing it to the limit, there's no need for brass.
  20.   So you want to pay $7 (plus tax) a box for 7.62x39?
  21.   The other one...51.

    Which Ruger?

Posey's in Cleveland just sold one...http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=478172378.  Maybe they have another.   Here are the other offerings on Gunbroker....http://www.gunbroker.com/All/BI.aspx?Keywords=ruger+5246   I'll stick with my original advice...get a Vaquero.  That flattop is uglier than a regular Blackhawk.  Did you know the Blackhawk grip frame is aluminum where that of the Vaquero is steel?  Better balance.
  23. That's really gonna get some people wound up.
