That’s good to know and I salute your dedication. The thing is, local LEO’s that could be your grandchildren are being heavily scrutinized and increasingly thrown under the bus for what happened in Uvalde. People are looking to law enforcement to protect the schools and most importantly the children within. How can that be achieved when LE has no duty or responsibility to protect as has been decreed by the Supremes.? Or there there is just too much plain lack of common sense, bureaucracy, and perhaps cowardice to get anything done when it needs to be done?

Training is one thing, doing it is another. Would you go in and challenge the threat? This story changes more and more by the hour but didn’t the BP officer have a child in that school...that was killed?

I have been to Uvalde a couple of times. Mainly passing through but shopped at the grocery and ate a local restaurant. That really doesn’t have much to do with anything but this is a seriously small town. Something around 16,000 people. I can’t imagine the anguish that entire community must be going through and more importantly why this continues.

I have a Ryobi compound miter saw that has served me well over the years. It is perfectly fine for occasional use. I’m not going to build a city with it. Smoky Mountain Gun & Ammo (SMGA) has a store in east Knoxville now. I know nothing about it but apparently they are open. Bill’s Outpost down in Alcoa/Maryville is an excellent suggestion. I’d also check Harvey’s Pistol & Pawn. They generally have very good prices on in stock items that may not necessitate the need for a transfer if you’re looking at new stuff.

The one and only gun auction I’ve been to showed me that. Was about 12 years ago before they were half local/half online. Some dumb fool went home with a ziplock bag of six M1 enbloc clips for nearly $50.
