I'm with you on that Runco. I've missed all of them since the middle of December. My wallet's fat and happy for it!!! -
Yes! I'm looking forward to it!!!

There are a lot of fools in this country. Of course, we all figured that out on Nov. 7th, 2012. Now what we learned, is just being reinforced! -
WTF moment: Kid disarms a gunman and gets suspended!
Moped replied to Sam1's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I agree! Why the hell the LEO's didn't take him the nearest bar and buy him one, is beyond me!!! They should also give him a application to fill out and hire as a new LEO when he gets out of school! This kids sounds like he has it going on!!! -
Should have smacked him the up the side of the head and asked him why the hell he wasn't concentrating on defeating the all the Anti-2A crap that is out there. Some one should!!! The damned Sequestration BS is over and done with and doesn't need to be revisited, unless they are planning on MORE SPENDING CUTS!

So basically, what you are saying is I need to put looting a Dentist Office on my list for things to do in a GNW (Grand New World) situation... That list is getting long. Think I'm going to need a tractor trailer for all this! :)

Personally, I'm not sure I want to arm some of my neighbors in a SHTF situation... Some because I'm pretty sure they would be more a danger to themselves than to the bad guys and others, because I'm not sure they aren't the bad guys! But I do get your point TMF. Mine, however will go to my family first. Then whatever is left over, I will use as loaners. On a related note, I've actually considered buying several loaner weapons. You know, something cheap that doesn't break the bank. I really wish I had set aside some M44 from back in the day when they were $70 from SOG. Wasn't thinking like, I'm thinking now, back then though.

I have to say that was one of the stupider things I've seen a School Administration do! The Principal should be relieved of her job!!! -
TN Bill to remove restrictions on knife possession and carry

Spots, you sure your name ain't John Henry? :) -
TSA is trying to be the equivalent of Nazi Germany's Gestopo. The ones I have dealt with seemingly are a step above uneducated thugs run by a bunch of tyrant wannabes. I think it should be the first Federal Organization abolished followed closely by the BATFE. The more we get Washington out of our daily lives, the better we all will be. That goes for which ever party is in charge.

Private Sales May Be Next 2A Infringement
Moped replied to gun sane's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Coburn publicly said that a national database would kill any gun control legislation. The Dems may settle for a background check on all sells without a database, just to stick it in the NRA's eye. I don't feel this little battle is over just yet. -
HB118/SB142: Current "parking lot" legislation
Moped replied to GKar's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Here is another thing to consider, while the bill doesn't go as far as we'd like, it can be amended next year to include more of the things we like. To me it's a step in the right direction. Now we need to keep it moving, and push for more next year! -
Rifle with open sites and a scope. I also would go with an AK.
-
I'm good, but I have curtailed range time for the duration of the situation. I am considering picking up an air rifle and possibly an air pistol to keep my practice up. Pellets are cheap and you still go through the basics of marksmanship.

Let them cut everything at this point. They keep talking about the Pentagon Civilians getting furlowed 22 days and losing 20% of their pay. Well I'm sorry, but back in 2008, I had my hours cut from 40 to 32 a week in order to save the jobs of other employees. It hurt like hell, but I didn't see Government Employees having to go through that, then. Just because you work for the Government, doesn't make you any more special than anyone else. They will survive just like my family and I did then.
-
If that doesn't work, you might want to consider a new trigger group, just to get rid if the problem.

I keep 2 35 round mags loaded. Figure if I initially need more than 70 rounds, I'm in a world of hurt anyway. Honestly, my Saiga is not my go to HD weapon any way. First is a revolver and a Glock, then a Remngton 870 with 00 and slugs.

I think the RAT 1 is the best bang for your buck in a large folder! It's built like a tank!

Glad to see another company start to target Anti-2nd Amendment Governments!!! I wish we'd see a lot more of them!
-
Agreed. Very weak stance. I don't disagree that LEOs everywhere deserve good equipment. Unfortunately, the ones in anti-2nd amendment states are paying the price for the stance of the ones above them and their politicians. Hopefully, they will start voting these individuals out of office and right things for all citizens, not just the few. Armalite seems more interested in making a buck, than they do in the future of their company. Let them choke on the dollars from the states of California, New york and Massachusetts.

What a bag of hot air!!! He has a right to speak his mind as a citizen, but in his role as public official and chief LEO in Chicago, that is telling people that he considers them criminals. We are starting to see that slippery slope. What's next? Is LE going to start policing Facebook and firearms forums looking for gun owners espousing the 2nd Amendment? Is the city of Chicago going to subpoena NRA and other Gun rights Organizations for membership lists in their jurisdiction?
