Isn't the Triangle Building at the intersection of W.Jackson, Oak Ave and Broadway?
-
The 20ga is no where near the punisher a 12ga is and you still have the ability to load buckshot and slugs in it. Both H&R and Rossi make convertibles and both are decent firearms.

I wouldn't mind having one of these. Don't really want the mask or filter though. LOL!

Gas mask carriers make good "modern" possibles bags. A lot of bushcrafters swear by the Finnish Gas Mask Carrier. Here's what they look like. http://www.fu-kit.com/product.php/331/canvas-genuine-army-shoulder-bag And here is one in action! http://bushcraftusa.com/forum/showthread.php?t=48658&highlight=Finnish+gas+mask

I remember the Knoxville Zoo in the bad old days and it is leaps and bounds better than it was then. I'm not going to go out on a limb and say all pageants and shows should be banned. However I think the mindset in some arena's definitely needs to change. If that can not be changed and policed up, then and only then, it should be banned. Obviously, I think the TWH needs to change and quickly. This what, the third or fourth or 100th time this same crap has come up and they still haven't changed anything. Maybe it's time for TWH shows to get the death penalty. Zoo's I support, because they do a lot of things for the animal populations in the wild. I do not support the circus and my kids have never been to one and as long as they live in the house, they won't. I do not support rodeos for the same reasons. Actually, though if I were to go to a rodeo, I would cheer for the bulls! Same for bull fights. However, I have hunted in the past and do enjoy that as well as fishing. I also own dogs, cats, a rabbit and fish and I enjoy them. They provide good companionship and entertainment.... does anyone want a rabbit?

Timestepper, that sounds cool! Is Stick Bread the same as Bannock? Never chucked my CS Trailhawk, but I don't mind bringing mine, if I can come!

Reality Check: Ron Paul can still win and has NOT dropped out!
Moped replied to a topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Ron Paul is not going to win the Republican nomination, nor if he runs as an Independent, will he win the National Election. -
Hey Timestepper, what do you plan on teaching for your part of it? Also has anyone else stepped and volunteered to teach and if so what are they teaching? A outline might help some that are on the fence about this. Personally, I'm still not sure if I will be able to come. We are trying to work out a secret (from the kids) week long vacation to Florida during the same time period. That being said I hope to be able to attend. It sounds like fun!

Hmmm... 6 shots from a S&W .357 Vs. 72 pellets from a Mossy 500/590/Remmy 870... The shotgun!

CALL FOR CRACKDOWN ON BLACK-ON-WHITE TERROR
Moped replied to mcurrier's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I feel more it's more and more this way. -
For the money, a Mora is hard to beat. Opinels are the same way. Mora just came out with a new knife called the Craftline Robust. The blade is 1/8" thick on this one. That's almost twice as thick as normal Mora and it's only $15+ shipping at www.ragweedforge,com. Here is a link. http://www.ragweedforge.com/SwedishKnifeCatalog.html

Well, for those that managed to last more than a couple of minutes, all I can say is you all are better men than I. I already feel dumber, after watching just that little bit.

About the camera thing, I saw where there is a proposal by Memphis City Councilman Edmund Ford Jr., to charge Memphis residents and out of towners that come into the city 2 or 3 times a week, a vehicle inspection fee. He is proposing that traffic cameras be posted a long major roads leading into the city to catch license plate numbers for those that live outside the city limits. Here is the link. http://www.knoxnews....inspection-fee/

I bet it would be worth it's weight in gold in a TEOWAWKI!

Man, that's great Willis68! I think next time though if I were you, I'd either travel with my least favorite knife or get a cheap(er) Kershaw. I'd have been sick to lose an knife that expensive!!!

They can keep it. I'm just not sold on a .410 for self defense and it seems like an awful big gun for concealment.

The Military uses ball ammunition because it's against the Geneva Convention to use expanding bullets (not sure of the exact wording used, but that the gist). That pretty much limits them to ball, which in order to be effective, needed to be BIG and somewhat slow, so as to expend all it's energy in whoever it hit. 9mm is small and fast and punches on through what it hits. That's one of the reasons the .45ACP hung around so long. Another reason was the 1911a1 was one of the most successful pistols of all time and the military saw no reason to change to a less reliable pistol. They only changed to the 9mm under pressure from NATO. When they did, that's when they went to the Beretta. My personal philosophy on is to buy several boxes of 230gr defensive ammo (I like Hydra-Shoks myself), half to practice with and half to use as my carry round. Then practice with quality 230gr FMJ. My pistol (Springfield 1911a1 Loaded Edition) shoots almost the same with both rounds. I will say it wouldn't bother me all that much to use FMJ though. It's been proven pretty effective for a century now and should function flawlessly in a 1911a1 if the pistol is worth half a squat. Actually, in a low end 1911a1, that might be my round of choice, since it usually does run flawlessly.

Sounds like I will be making a trip to Aldi's! That's a good price on their coffee!

This sounds interesting. But I'll have to see which day is chosen, before I commit. I have quite a few irons in the fire as it is. Thanks for doing this Timestepper!

The bad thing about that is these companies moving out of California, are probably going to expect where ever they move to, to change to satisfy their "California" ways. The company I work for is headquartered in California and we have to put up with all the same BS. Sadly, you are probably correct, sir.

Coleman's Outlet Posted - Reasoning behind it...
Moped replied to a topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
Coleman won't get my business, though that store is a weird. I wonder if the signs were put up by the building owner or the business owner and if they are the one and the same? I say weird because all those little stores in that building are connected by a long internal hall way. Seems like the walls are not full as well. -
Is anyone intrested in learning to make their own?
Moped replied to Spots's topic in Knives, Lights, EDC Gear
I'd be interested in coming to learn! Just let us know when!!! Thanks!!! -
$600 seems a bit steep to me. I think you made the right decision in keeping the RIA. You can always find a 226 or a P6. At the age or 48, I'm like Hi-Power and I regret every one I let go, now. That's not to say that I still won't trade though. Sometimes that itch just gets too strong!!! LOL

Mom gets 20 years for firing warning shots!?
Moped replied to a topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
His hands were tied because the Florida Legislature set the sentence for him. I suspect she had a prior also. Personally, I thought the DA was stupid and should have her law license suspended for charging this poor woman in the first place. But the woman was stupid for going back in the house with the gun. She should have run to the neighbors house and called the police and had her husband taken to jail. BTW, the DA is the same DA that is trying George Zimmerman in the Trayvon Martin case and she was roundly criticized for her role in this trail by one of Florida's black house members, Florida Representative Corrine Brown blasted her soundly over all this.
