  1.   That's why he will be running for Senate after the Governor gig is up.  Lamar is due to retire soon.
  2. I went back the Walmart in Halls this morning.  It wasn't cheap.  They had 9mm, .45ACP and .308.
  3. I think it would be worth losing too. And it would very beneficial, for the leadership to know the reason she lost and who caused it. Personally, I think the Republican Leadership in Nashville sees us as a necessary evil to be courted during the election and ignored the rest of the time. Its the same way the Democrats treat the African American and LGBT vote.
  4. I agree with Oh Shoot!  Bet'cha he is Lamar's heir apparent!
  5. This didn't surprise me either. I called it last week.  Until we can unseat some of the leadership in the primary with our own candidates, we will get nothing else out of this group.   Personally, I think Haslam, Harwell and group have circled the wagons after one of their own lost her primary, the back in 2012.  This is their way of fighting back against the TFA and NRA.  And watch for Haslam to be Lamar's heir apparent to the Senate after his stint as Governor is over too.
  6. What can you all tell me about this round?  I've bought two boxes at Academy (picked up my second box today).  My Taurus PT111 G2 seems to really love it, but is it any good?
  7. Sounds like I need to go back to Walmart.  I bought 4 boxes of the .223 last Friday at $18 a box.  I'd love to find some more!   BTW, bought 4 boxes Monarch .223 today at Academy for $5.47 along with a box of DRT 9mm 85gr JHPs for $15.They had plenty of both. My two ARs and my Saiga .223 gobble steel case up like a chocoholic gobbles up M&Ms!

    Hi Point 9mm

You should have a backyard party and invite all of us.  We'd mortify them!!!
  9. Yeah and you don't want me to send you a picture either!?
  10. That's a nice looking knife!  I've been carrying a little fixed blade to go with a Wenger SAK for over a year know.  I switch between a CRKT Folts Minimalist and an Esee Izula.  I feel naked without one other other in my pocket.  I could easily see me adding one of these to the rotation!    How good an edge does it hold?  Isn't 440C what Buck uses?

    Hi Point 9mm

Had a carbine that was a fun little rifle.  I intend to get a 9mm or a .45 Hi-Point at some point just to have one.
  12. Double face palm and false surprised voice: I'M SHOCKED!!!  LOL  Not really.  Haslam could give a rats potoot about the 2nd Amendment.  He's a closet Bloomberg Butt Kisser.    Beth Harwell is the Grand Pooba of the Phony 2A Supporter Crowd.  Pisses me off when I see her "Pro Second Amendment" Ad appear on my Facebook page.
  13. I make turkey jerky using ground turkey. I don't make as much at a time as you guys do, I use 2 1/2 lbs per batch.  That's about all my little dehydrator will do.  It goes quick when I make it though!  My marinade consists of 1/2 cup of Tamari Juice of 2 lemons 1 teaspoon of onion salt 1/2 teaspoon on garlic powder 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper 1/4 teaspoon of salt 1/2 teaspoon of crushed red pepper.   That goes into a jerky gun with a flat nozzle. and into my dehydrator at 150 for 4 hours.  Comes out perfect!!!   I bought my dehydrator at Bed, Bath and Beyond for $49+tax and my jerky gun at Gander for $15+tax.
  14. Prices in Pawn Shops are negotiable. I bet if they have had it a while, you could walk out with for between $300 and $350.
  15. Nice little fixed blades.  I carry a small fixed blade all the time now.  Either a Folt's Minimalist or a Esee Izula/  After looking at this, I might have to add a third to the rotation!
  16. It was reported on the local news. WVLT, I believe.
  17. They pushed the Gun Bill Day out another week.  I figure they will push it out to near the last day of the session.  Kill them all and then go home.  Isn't that the way it usually goes?
  18. I did a Saiga in .223 about 4 years ago. It was a scary first step for me, but I was interesting.  The AK is such simple weapon!!!
  19. Picked up 3 50 Round boxes of Perfecta  .55gr .223 (brass) this afternoon at Walmart.  Paid 18.99 per box.  They had Tula 20 round steel 55gr $5.49.
  20. Oh yeah. Go ahead and make it worse. You know I would REALLY like to have one of these...[emoji12]
  21. Didn't Winchester re-brand Black Talons?  I believe you can still buy the same basic bullet.
  22.   You wish!!!  I have to admit that I am starting to buy .223 again, on the chance I will not be able to get it later. But there is no way in hell, I will spend a dollar around for it!
  23. I just wish someone would made a quality, affordable M1 again.
  24.   Totally agree with this!  There is a really nice S&W 13-4 in a 3" barrel out of Seymour up for trade on FB.  I'd love to have, but have nothing to trade.
  25. Assuming money is not a big issue, I would add a RugerMark II or III.22 automatic (I own one) a .38 or .357 double action revolver (Colt, S&W or Ruger) and a Ruger Blawkhawk Convertible in .357/9mm (I also have one of these and it's a fun pistol to shoot!!!).   BTW, I own one of those little Taurus PT111 Millenium G2 and it's a dandy!  It goes everywhere I go.  Just picked up a third mag for it.  That actually hurt a bit.  Couldn't find one cheap.  Still love this little pistol!
