Yesterday afternoon the rain had the traffic at a halt on 440. We got some rain the end of last week, I mowed what needed mowing on Monday morning, but the rest can wait.

We lost our Dad on December 5 last year. Back in 1972 my brother and Dad were selling donuts for the Scouts. Ran up on a man selling raffle tickets for a rifle. A deal was made, Dad bought a ticket and the man bought a box of donuts. Well the man called and Dad had won. My Dad never liked firearms so the rifle was put for a a few years. When I got older we would beg to get the rifle out and shoot. I moved off and had a family as well as my brothers and sister. The rifle was put up and forgot about. My brother got the rifle and asked me to get some ammo up so we could shoot. Well being a hand loader I had some cast and powder coated lead. Found the brass, dies and went to loading some up. On Fathers day this year my brother gave me the rifle. He and our other brother had talked about giving it to me for Fathers Day. We shot it for the first time in 35 years or more. This past Saturday my son and myself went to OK Corral to shoot. Here are is the target, now it is hard for me to see that well with iron sights, but I will say I did think I did just fine with a 50 year old rifle and my 63 year old eyes and untested loads. The hits in the red are off a rest to get crono numbers, the rest are seated off hand. The rifle has some age and a few "beauty marks".

The bill removes the "proper cause" requirement, although it still requires an applicant show they are of "good moral character." * 'SENSITIVE PLACES' WHERE GUNS ARE BANNED The court said lawmakers could restrict guns from "sensitive places," giving as examples courthouses, schools and government buildings, but warned lawmakers against applying the label too broadly. New York's proposed list of such places includes: government buildings, medical facilities, places of worship, libraries, playgrounds, parks, zoos, schools, summer camps, addiction-support centers, homeless shelters, nursing homes, public transit including the New York City subway, places where alcohol or marijuana is consumed, museums, theaters, stadiums, polling places and New York City's Times Square. WOW, 30 dollars for 2 jugs, this is a deal!! If I did not have more than I need I would buy this. This is my go to powder, especially semi automatic. It has plenty a snap to make a semi pistol work and little kick to revolve.

I use tight group and all my pistols. You have to be careful it’s easy to overcharge. If I want to hot Rod a load I’ll do research and found find appropriate powder for the caliber of shooting. That said, the only hot rod loading I do this for a Ruger 44 magnum.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but these guns are ruined. You should give them to me to for proper disposal. LOL
