  1. I bought a build it yourself metal type 12x20 garage from lowes and have been pleased with it. It's not gonna keep anybody out, but it will keep your stuff out of sight and dry.
  2. That's fine. I think it's just one of my motorcycle trips. I've got 3000-4000 pics on Flickr. I just never made that particular ride a private album.
  3. https://www.flickr.com/gp/blewbayou/bBH0N9 https://www.flickr.com/gp/blewbayou/8081ff Lemme know if you can see those. I've never really figured out embedding pics..
  4. I can take pics, if someone doesn't beat me. Gimme a day, I'm probably not able tonight. I carry lefty.
  5. I think another important point to make here is this. If you do come around the corner to see a perp stealing from you, but that perp does not see you...You have a decision to make, one is to remove yourself from the situation and call the police, then your insurance to make a claim. The second is to confront the perp, and at that point aren't you escalating a situation you could have avoided? I feel like at that point you have escalated the situation and it'd be hard to prove self defense. I've worked hard for what I own, but I'm not going to confront someone who is stealing from me outside my home, until I have been threatened. It's an unfortunate part of the law that really doesn't provide any protections for the owner of the property outside of the locked doors of your house (or car).
  6. I've never had any true failures. The one inch impact does surprisingly well. Bought a saw zall, it's done an entire bathroom remodel and cut up a bunch of 4" square thick wall steel tubing. I like their tapes, I have some of their sockets, their torque wrenches are actually decent for the price. I also have a matco tool box full of Mac, snap on, and matco tools...equal opportunity here.
  7. Since we are on the subject of coyotes...I'm up in Joelton, and they are all over here. Hear them around sunset and all through the night. My backyard is fenced in, I've shined the flashlight out the back window and seen them standing at the fence before. I've got three dogs that I send out into the fenced yard and have started to wonder if a coyote would hop the fence...
  8. I grew up on a dirt track back in Ohio. My dad raced 410 sprint cars. I've always followed the outlaws sprint series. More recently getting into the late models some. Dad and I are rolling into our 10th annual trip to Charlotte, NC in November to watch the world finals at The dirt track. Dirt track is evolving some, but it's still real racing. NASCAR has changed, I use to follow it some years ago. Earnhardt has dramatically changed the sport. As mentioned already, cars have been equalized to the point that it's not fun to watch. They say it's in the interest of safety...There has to be some safety, sure, but it's racing. Drivers know the risks, let them race, let the best team and the best driver win. Remove all the restrictions that make the cars so completely equal. No team has an edge. I'm gonna stick with dirt track, on a rainy day I might catch a few laps of NASCAR, but I don't plan a day around it.
  9. You've already said it...I've got a fluke. I use to dabble in motorcycle repair hence my reason for having it, but I wouldn't have anything less. Klein is maybe better? You could probably get by well enough with a craftsman, but I have no recommendations.
  10. Tires are easily one of the most important parts of any vehicle. It's cheap insurance to replace based on year and damage. Coming from a two wheeled hobby, I don't mess with tires that have damage, just replace. That's your only point of contact with the road. At least in a car if something goes wrong with one, there are three more to hopefully get you to the side of the road.
  11. Interesting, I don't like edleys or peg leg porker at all. I have not tried martins. Jacks is in my top 5, the location on Trinity. I didn't think the downtown location is as good. B&C BBQ in the farmers market is really good. There's a small bar called Neighbors on Murphy road that has some great BBQ. Finally Judge Bean's BBQ in brentwood is outstanding.
  12. I had no doubt she'd sing it awesome. I've always admired her as one of the best voices in music. She's a little strange and I'm not a big fan of some of her songs, but that's personal taste. She's among the greats for singing and as previously mentioned playing the piano.
  13. That's pretty much it. If all doctors were set up that way, one can call around and find the doctor with the best price; or most reasonable price they are willing to pay for whatever service they need. I guess the Kroger little clinic is the same idea with a very limited menu of options. It brings competition to the medical industry. It's win win for everyone.
  14. I'd like to see the medical system set up similar to a Firestone or NTB. Walk in and there's a big board reading the cost of all the normal services. For those with no insurance, you know exactly what you'll pay. It would also let the general public really see how much money is spent on medical care and maybe then there might be a bit of an outrage about how expensive even just a consultation really is.
  15. http://lmgtfy.com/?q=Joeys+house+of+pizza :)
  16. You should check out Italia pizza and pasta on woodland in east Nashville. I've not had it in awhile, but back when I lived in the neighborhood they had a really good gluten free. I actually preferred over the regular.
  17. Joeys house of pizza on elm hill pike. Open 11-3 weekdays. Find time to go. Better than all the above suggestions so far. Also cafe fontanella has a really good pizza if you're ever a little north of town.
  18. I had a 2013 ford escape with the turbo 1.6L. AWD. I really didn't like it at all. It didn't have any power above 60 and my best average was 23-24mpg. I never once saw over 26. The bigger 4cyl may have been better. I traded it for a Jeep grand Cherokee. It better fits my needs and gets 21mpg with AWD and 3.6 v6. Have you considered a regular Cherokee? It's my understanding they are getting good mileage and are pretty nice vehicles.

    SNOW!!

Just got done shoveling another 2 inches off the driveway. Some of that could have been blowing snow though, it's gotten breezy out. Got the cars cleaned off too. I'll leave my estimated total at 7-8 inches here on Clarksville pike in Joelton. Dunno how to attach pics... https://www.flickr.com/gp/blewbayou/cFW1Xi

    SNOW!!

I shoveled the driveway about 10 30. It's a dense wet snow. I'd estimate 7-8" at that time. It let up for a bit and coming down again right now. Doesn't appear to be accumulating much right now. Roads are covered and snow packed. Great driving conditions here, all things considered. This is in Joelton on Clarksville Pike.

    SNOW!!

Company I work for does work for Aisin. It's snowing in Joelton. I'm not afraid of myself driving, I'm another guy from the North, a little snow on the ground is fine. It's amazing the people down here that don't know how to drive though. I'm not gonna risk my vehicle and safety because of others that can't drive in this stuff. Coffee and sitting by the window looking into the snow covered woods is a perfect Friday morning.
  22. I've not explored all the capabilities of these cameras. The meshare app does offer cloud storage and I believe you can record on a PC as well. I've never had the need to do so. It would be something worthy of some more research. Nest is a great option, especially if you want to begin to connect your house to WiFi; thermostat, lights, garage door, cameras, etc...
  23. I've got a couple funlux cameras and use the app meshare to view them from anywhere. They were easy to set up and both have microsd cards for storage. Play back can be done on the phone or computer. I think they are the same company as zsight. Lots of mixed reviews with them, but I'm happy and considering buying a couple more to put outside as well.
  24. She is just plain adorable. There's no way I can have another dog, but that one needs to find her way to a good home!
  25. Man, hate to hear that. We had one get away last year around this time with the same type of story. I feel fortunate that he found his way home a few days later. Stay hopeful, maybe yours will find his way.
