  1. I'd say a lot of people violate the Flag laws from lack of knowledge. But for some reason, I think the designer of the ad knew what he/she was doing.
  2. Goes through a pole, but not a cat. That's when I stopped reading.
  3. http://www.midwestgunworks.com/merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=7400Mag&Category_Code=rifle-magazines&Store_Code=mgwi
  4. I still haven't figured out what people are thinking when they take pics like that............
  5. Don't tell me what I WANT. If I want it...I'll ask for it.
  6. Wow.......But I still can't make my self watch it.....
  7. Naturally I'd want to shoot them. But since I don't know much about Military rifles. I don't know what they are, and if they are better off left in the box? But I'd still take them out of the box....
  8. If you were looking to trade for a USED XD....Maybe. But I think you are still about $50.00-75.00 shy. At least that is what I would be willing to pay extra. The XD is going to retain more value on the market.
  9. Another vote for the Nikon. Great scope for the money.
  10. I had no idea there was that kind of stuff out for them. But honestly, I never looked. I seem to get interested in one thing at a time....Since one thing is about all I can afford to shoot at a time. But if all the XD talk keeps going on. I might be shooting one of them soon. But that means I'll have to sell something to afford it. And as of now about all I own I bought new. And I'm still a little shy of selling something that has my name tied to it.
  11. If it chambers fine I doubt it is the recoil guide, or recoil spring. Did you look at the rim of the case to see if it looked like a light strike? I agree with the others, call Smith & Wesson first. I did a search, and a few other people have had similar occurrences. And if you do figure it out let us know the cause, and how it was fixed. http://www.thefiringline.com/forums/showthread.php?t=200883
  12. I've held one...Seems a little big, and since it was made for competition. I would just go ahead and buy a Competition 1911. That way if you don't like some thing about it, all you have to do is change it. You can buy every thing you ever wanted for a 1911. As for now you are limited what you can change on the XD, XD-M
  13. Like the rest said. If it's a good mag it will last a LONG time.
  14. It's the salts in the powder that keep enabling the rusting process. With the metal heating up and expanding. The powder being forced in the microscopic crevices in the metal. And the contraction of the metal, that "traps" the salt/powder in the metal. It next to impossible to keep it from forming some rust. Salt draws moisture from the air, and then you get rust. As long as you do not get any pitting it will shoot fine. Realistically minor pitting will have little to no noticeable effect on accuracy. Most pitting will start as the base of the lands/grooves. Where the powder fouling starts. As far as accuracy is concerned you are fine until it pits on the upper portion of the lands. Even then you can use slightly larger bullet diameters to regain some accuracy. But then you need to watch for excessive powder fouling, which will increase chamber pressures. The short answer is...Don't sweat it. Clean it after shooting it...CLEAN IT GOOD. And soak the barrel in a good thick oil. I use CPL. Just be sure to clean the oil from the barrel before you shoot it again. As the oils will increase the rate of fouling as it likes to "grab" the powder and hold on to it in the barrel. I'm anal about my firearms, and if one of my "smokeless powder" guns gets pitting I'll have a new barrel put on, or trade it in on a new one. But I gave up on my black powder rifles being pristine for the entire working lives. Not to mention all mine were given to me in USED condition. But still I wish they were in like new condition. I'm in no way a firearm expert. But I am real anal about my firearms. All except my Black Powder rifles. Which I have finally learn to live with.
  15. You'll love it. I have one also. 300+ round with me owning it, and who know how many my Dad, and Grandfather put through it. If I had to choose just one pistol in I currently own to defend my self I'd pick it. I most accurate with it, and so far it has gone bang every time. If it wasn't so big, it would be the perfect choice for carry
  16. I remember reading a post some where on a forum a few years back about a a hunter reporting a problem with the finish on his rifle was pealing off after a hunting trip. A few post later, a conclusion had been reached that it was the insect repellent. As 1 or 2 other people had reports of the same problem after hunting trips. I did some independent Google studying and it seems to be that it will damage plastics. ...GREAT, all but 1 of my rifles are synthetic, my field shot gun is synthetic, and a couple pistols are "plastic"....... So has any one here had any effects due to repellents, or any other common chemical for that matter?
  17. No mags for me..... I don't own any autos..... But if I did...I'd just carry the one in it.

    New Handgun

I'll agree with the rest....CZ is a great pistol. I've never owned on YET.....but the 2 I've shot were flawless, and the build quality seem to be GREAT.
  19. Congrats man.....
  20. Ruger M77 SS MKII .270......That is my favorite. I traded it for a SuperNova .....And didn't like it. I wish I had it back.
  21. If you do bury it. Make sure no one will likely ever dig there for a long time.
  22. I remember reading about this when he was still in the process of healing. Honestly I though the wounds would look a little worse. At fist I figure it couldn't have done much damage. But after reading, it did more that I though.
  23. No problem..... From what I've read they seem to be pretty well made. And if cleaned after use should last a LONG time.
  24. wow.....I want one.....hhahah
