  1. I plan to next week. Unless I some how manage to catch it before then. I had the flu once. I never want it again.
  2. I think that is an OK deal. I personally like Gen 3 an Gen 4 better. You will be OK at that price.
  3. So what would happen to those that have a lifetime permit now? They would have to change a lot of what is in law now.
  4. I'm not going to give any advice or opinion. But you can read the response from the TN Attorney General. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=http://attorneygeneral.tn.gov/op/2010/op/op10-102.pdf&ved=0CB8QFjAAahUKEwjYlIKP2MXHAhUFHx4KHQl8Dck&usg=AFQjCNGrQVPaM_ErwLP_A3vqBCqU4HkQfw&sig2=cu5P7mkvmo8rEQV1UDYZVg Again, it would be best to contact TWRA http://www.state.tn.us/twra/contact.html
  5. Please, if my advice above is not good. I honestly want to know. I think your opinion would be the best of anyones. Sometimes people are intimadated or afraid to ask a wildlife officer. I guess, the best advice wold be to call TWRA and find out what your legal options are?
  6. You'll likely have to trap it if it is only coming around at night. Just know that once it is trapped, you will have to kill it. Even if it's not wounded, you'll have to kill it. You can not release it. I'm only telling you this since you say that you are not a hunter. For some people this can be a hard thing to do. Is a lot different than just shooting it under "free range". I'm by no means trying to tell you "Not to shoot it" Just get your mind set and do what has to be done. In your case, It seems it has to done. https://www.tn.gov/twra/article/hunting-equipment-methods Every game animal, wounded or unwounded by hunting and/or trapping and taken into possession by the hunter or trapper shall be immediately slain and become part of the daily bag limit. No person shall, at any time, or by any means, possess or transport live animals taken under the authority of hunting season proclamations. - See more at: https://www.tn.gov/twra/article/hunting-equipment-methods#sthash.vQcfxOcN.dpuf
  7. I had never heardone of it. I did find a good test of 46 different oils. Many were fun oils. And WD-40 Corrosion Specialist did great as you reported. Thanks for letting me know about it. My local Wal-Mart even has it. http://www.dayattherange.com/?page_id=3667
  8. Ok, so it's getting that time of the year where the humidity is high. And the dew point is pretty close to where most of our thermostats are set. I was first made aware of this when shooting air rifles when I was younger. I take the rifle from the cool house and walk out in the warm moist Tennessee air where a nice layer of condensation formed on the metal. No fun.... So does anyone else have ideas other than turning the thermostat up in the house or leaving the rifle in the garage? Lol Actually, I just leave it in a gun case and let it gradually come to temperature. But still, you have to wait. Lol
  9. I tend to shoot my M&P more. I love my Glocks, don't get me wrong, but the M&P is fun to shoot.
  10. There is definitely a precise order to getting it back together. If any one step is left out or done incorrectly, it's not going to work. Most of it has to do with the hammer, and the stupid piece that hangs down under the hammer. Lol
  11. It's my understanding, which may be wrong, but an officer does have a right to secure the firearm during a stop. If all is checked and everything comes back clear. The officer give the firearm back. I feel the officer could have handled the situation better. Or at least been a bit more polite and made his actions more clear. I personally, would be a bit annoyed by the stop. But could easily care on my day with little more thought to it. So long as my firearm was returned. And last time I road a bike, I do delivery a tucked and vertical plate was not a proper display. So, I guess the officer had a legitimate reason for the stop?
  12. According to this site run by the state of Tennessee http://www.state.tn.us/safety/handgun/handgunfees.shtml Accepted methods of payment for an original handgun carry permit are cash, money order, MasterCard, Visa and Discover Credit Cards. Checks are accepted for a renewal and duplicate handgun carry permits. As for I.D. You need proof of US Citizenship or Lawful Permanent Residency The acceptable types can be found here. http://www.state.tn.us/safety/driverlicense/dlcitizen.shtml A valid Drivers License and certified copy of a birth certificate or passport is the easiest. I was told by my instructor a valid military I.D. will work as well. But I don't see that listed on the state page.
  13. A grip sleeve is an option. But my Uncle was an armed security guard and they had an issue with a sleve. What it was doing was riding up the grip and making it difficult to press the mag release. This only happened to one person and one pistol, but it was enough call for a policy change. No more grip sleves. Something to think about. I personally have run sleves with no issue. But I ultimately removed them as they were on the pistols when I bought them.
  14. I did not swear. But I did get frustrated and read the manual. But that was only after I admitted to my self I didn't know what I was doing. Hey, I did it years ago. I thought I could "remember" on my own. Not so...lol
  15. I updated the post above. Some how I pressed the "post" button before I finished my story. I got it back together. Only thing I had forgot to do waso hold the trigger back when Folding the grip piece back in. I've owned other MK pistols. But it been awhile. This was the first time with this pistol.
  16. Finally broke down and field strippedmy Roger MKIII Target. Manual says, A mallet may be needed to assist in removing the bolt stop and strut assembly. But this ol' boy did need a stinkin' hammer. Lol I pulled really really hard and that bad boy broke free and smacked right down on the rear of the grip.. now I got a nice shiny scratch. At least it a stainless pistol, so it not a obvious. Disappointing, but now I don't have worry about keeping "perfect". I tried to get a pic, but the glare is to bad on the stainless. Not to mention my camera is not the best. I'm currently limited to a tablet for a camera an inter usage.
  17. I'd go with the XS. So easy to use and see.
  18. Plenty here in East Tennessee. Seem to like resting on my fishing line while fishing.
  19. I have no idea. But why were so many others injured? I never like to speculate, but with all the gun related shootings. I'm betting it was random. None of this is going to help gun owners. I don't have the answer(s) to what might or might not stop these type things. But they (the government) will enact something, if for nothing else to at least say. "Hey, we tried." I truly hope this type thing never happens again.
  20. Does the benefactor renew on its own automatically or do you manually renew it each time? Thanks.
  21. I had the first model. The only with the safety. The only issue I had with it was the safety would on occasion would fill to safe while firing. To be honest it was hitting my thumb thumb. Many people had this issue. so many that they even offered a safety delete kit. Mine was even affect by some recall where they offered me a FREE pistol of my choice. I sold it to a friend cheap and let him deal with shipping it to them. Mine ran 124, and 115 gr rounds great. Even HP's. Never had it jam. But I only had around 150 rounds through it when I sold it. I entertain getting another one for a throw around gun. Like in the boat. But they are not fun to shoot. Recoil and it rubbed my had raw.
  22. I have some sort of issue with my eyes that cause them to be very sensitive sun light. I always wear sunglasses outside. If I don't, my my eyes begin to hurt and if I go too long it causes blurred vision and head ache for hours. I have seen different eye doctors and the best way they explain it to me is that my eyes filter light different than most people. And prolonged uv exposure can make the condition worse. Which is what I did, as I am outside for hours at a time. I now must/should wear sun glasses when outdoors. I would recommend every one to wear sunglasses when in light with uv or outdoors. I hope you get back to normal sooon. Eye issues are not fun.
