  4. Good Job I no longer dine at Outback because of their new policy. I use to buy several hundred dollars of their giftcards to hand out during the Holidays...I will stop that as well. I will take my business elsewhere until they change their policy.

  7. Dang going by the thread title I came in here expecting to see pocket knives......
  8. Both turned out super nice! If you ever want to refinish the stock down the road I have Fairtrimmer's Military oX gunstock oil that I can bring aroud the corner to your house. Your SPS will love reloads...it will shoot 1/3-1/4 MOA.
  9. I have a bushnell tactical on one rifle and I like the Weaver tactical better. It is clear'er and tracts better IMO. The weaver is on my sps Tact. For $1,000 you can pick up a good used Leupold. Get the M1 knobs so you will have 1/4 clicks. There is a US Optics ST10 on snipers hide right now for $999. For the money that would be the way that I would go. Kickass glass WTS or WTT US Optics ST10 $999 - Sniper's Hide Forums Watch the hide and some good used scopes pop up on there... 10. If Moody cant help ya out... I use Gateway Tire & Service in Hermitage (close to Walmart on Andrew Jackson). Ask for George if you go there he is good fella.
  11. Congrats! Nice look'n stick and it should shoot very well. Load that pod up because the 20's tend to hop a bit.
  12. Very nice Congrats! I had a .308 garand years ago and traded it off like a dummy.... I thought that the bent op rod issues were becuase of "hotter" higher pressure loads... not so much the heaiver bullet but the combo of bullet, type/amount of powder, and case length. Get an adjustable gas plug and the issue goes away. Mr. Morris will know for sure. I will look in my parts bin and see if I have a rest set of NM sights. I know that I have a "real" set on a garand and an extra NM apature or two.

The 9 power will be fine... Take a look at the Bushnell 3200 10-power tactical scope. It can be found for under $200 and will be a good scope for 500 yards. Again the Super Sniper scopes are great for the money. The BT10-V8 clamp on Atlas (10.9oz) is lighter than the Harris 6-9 S-BRM (130z). So about the same... by the time that you add a rail to the front...

"off the shelf" Federal Gold Medal Match 168 gr will work real well. I have Harris pods on a few rifles but Atlas pods are the best by far IMO.

I have had both types...in the end I have sold the non-swivel types to replace them with pods that swivel.
  17. look'n good
  18. +1 ditch the Houge stock down the road and get one that will not flex (e.g. McMillan, Manners,HS, B&C)

    700 DM Bottom Metal

I have two of the HS DBM kits.. they work as they should and required zero inletting of the stock. If you plan on keeping the HS stock I'd go HS DBM.
  20. B&C makes a fine stock. It will serve you well
  21. I dont think that you saved anyone any grief from not going to court any earlier... Well, except yourself. The wait may have only saved you: time, trouble, and court cost. No need for an atty on your byddys bite. That will be a simple workers' compensation case. He will have to be off work due to the bite more than 7 days (8 days) to earn indemnity payments from his employers' WC carrier. His medical will be/ should bepaid. Outside of that he would need to take the homeowner to court for anything else. His chances of winning in court are better... if he can prove that the bite cause lost time and permanent scarring.
  22. Some and the rest of us get to pay them for their whiplash...
