  1. I have a built up 10/22 and it is a last to shoot. With CCI standard velocity (cheap ammo) it will hit just about anything that I want from 15 yards to 100. This may be the "most fun" gun that I own. The barrel made a huge difference https://fjfeddersen.com/product/22-long-contoured-16-25-2/
  2. Want to trade the 338 on a Savage LRP 6.5 Creedmoor? You can shoot it better and it is a cartridge for small to medium sized dinosaurs.
  3. I have one ... I can meet in the rivergate area if that helps ya.
  4. Pic's? I'd leave it as is... even if it is just going to be a shooter.

  6. I assume they are targeting private sales. If I wanted to sell you a firearm and we both live in TN and are able to legally own a firearm... then there is no background check required under current law(s).
  7. Id' go G19 if I had to pick only one. However, right now I carrying a S&W 340pd .357 (pocket holster) that is crazy light due to its scandium frame.
  8. I 100% agree, Jeff at G&L in Greenbrier is great. I have never used... but have heard of http://www.customdefensellc.com/gunsmithing.htm doing good 1911 work.
  9. How is this a good marketing move?
  10. So Trump is starting to cave and get in line to jump into the swamp. Disappointing.
  11. Ditto... I have been a member or life member for many years and I have never used any of the NRA "discounts"
  12. Ok when Bump stocks go... when will the AR15 owners ( and other evil looking firearms e.g. glocks, Ak's, M1A's, etc) be told to cut their firearms in half or turn them into the local PD's? Will bump stocks, triggers, and other devices that turn a gun into a "machine gun" go in the trash or will they be like the lightning links that went to the NFA registry? I remember when those were sold at gun shows many years ago.
  13. This dude has not been on the site since June 2017
  14. 1100lbs will be fun! Using the 2.3 will at least help with traction. A V8 upfront would make the ass end crazy and a heavy nose in the corners. So your wondering if your ring gap needs to be set lower (wider) for a 100 shot? As someone else said, your piston (ring) manufacturer will be the best source. I have heard people that run nitrous say that they run a wider gap, but too much of a gap may cause a blowby or other seal issues. If it were me (not the sharpest tool in the shed) I'd run a nitrous tune on my regular setup and spray it as is (wet kit) . Especially if you're only going to do it on a drag strip, if ever. Heck Ive seen 100 shots on factory, untuned, cast piston cars/trucks that survive for a "good while". BUT I've never seen it done on a 2.3. All of the 2.3L's that I've seen were SVO Mustangs (turbo). What will your compression be? What tuning software? Suspension coilovers? Do you have build thread on a site somewhere... I'd like to watch the progress.
  15. Welcome SE in Chappel Hill is awesome. Rock Castle is a 1.45 hour drive from you but it goes out to 1600. You may be able to get on the 1600 since you're active duty. www.rockcastleshootingcenter.com/ranges-and-rates
  16. It turned out real nice!
  17. Man that's sad. He seemed like a great guy with awesome taste in firearms. His shop was over here in Donelson, I think.

    Moving Safe

I was going to say the Safe House... but you may want to check with Parker's for another quote. http://www.parkerssafesandvaults.com/delivery-safe-moving
  19. I traded for a 340pd last weekend... so 125's are as heavy as I should go? I will have to research the speer sb loads.
  20. I went today.... not much going on......
  21. An old painted stick in a coffin
  22. I hope that there is a buy back program for the folks paying $500+ for the BS's on gunbroker and other places.
  23. Sorry man, looks like she was a happy dog.
