  4. Dol, you handled the situation just like we expected you to. You're the better man here Brother. Kudu's to you! Like TGO David said about the other person is most likely true.   Dave
  5. At times (if the range isn't real busy) we'll let you set up at the end of the benches and shoot prone on the 100 yard line. Prone shooting on the 200-400 yard range is encouraged. No Tracer or Armor Piercing Ammo allowed. Have fun and be safe!   That's why I quit. I didn't like the way folks were being treated/talked to.   Dave
  6. I got this picture of "Leroy" today as he was returning from the woods to his den under my heat pump. One of my favorite birds.... Dave

  13. Another good mushroom to hunt is "Oyster Mushrooms". They are fantastic tasting and much easier to find. They grow on decaying wood, and can also be found in the grocery store. As with any wild mushroom, BE ABSOLUTELY SURE of what you are harvesting. Oysters are pretty easy to identify and can be found almost anywhere there is wood.   Dave
  14. Rob, we need to get together for a primitive camping trip Dave Nikoti Makwa
  15. Pretty good UncleJak. Sad part is, my 18 year old daughter is better with it than I am! I have an awful  lot of fun with my things. My Shawnee ancestors should be happy!   Dave Nikoti Makwa
  16. Folks, here's my "primitive" hunting gear for my traditional hunts. The rifle is a .75 cal (12 ga) cut down Brown Bess Musket. It patterns number 5 shot in an awesome manner. I Squirrel and Rabbit hunt with it. I only Squirrel hunt in my Native kit. Plus I'm a Native Reenactor and I love it!!!! Dave
  17. It says you cut with a torch in two places a minimum of 1/2 inch deep, if I read it right.   Dave
  18. I hunt Morels but haven't found any in two years. I haven't found any "sang" in about 15 years. I guess I will just stick to fishing...   Dave
  19. Anyone have any experience with PSE crossbows? I am thinking of picking this one up. I'm getting back into bow hunting and I like this one.   http://www.academy.com/shop/pdp/pse-fang-crossbow/pid-1242767   Dave
  20. Well, those rounds over his chest sure doesn't look "shotgun" to me. If he gets killed the dude with the machine gun is going to feel real stupid for a few minutes at least.   Dave
  21. What am I listening to right now? My wife b******g about this new gun I just bought!! She'll get over it!   Dave
  22. I was the guy with the ponytail taking pictures! BY the way, a big THANK YOU goes out to Ted S for putting this together, making reservations and insuring everything was in order. Thanks Brother!   Dave
