  1. I think I know what you mean you're looking for but that was the closest I could find. Even with the pins out on a regular AR, you are looking at at least 16 for the barrel and 4 for the upper for 20 total(unless, as someone says, you go SBR). Of course, if you do it diagonally, you could get away with something in the region of 12x16
  2. Tennessee's roads are pretty good in the scheme of things. http://www.tricities.com/news/local/article_141e2a22-ea67-11e2-9663-001a4bcf6878.html I do wish they'd use better materials though. It seems like they don't last too long before they're being redone. And while we're wishing, let's have some proper reflective paint instead of that stuff that disappears in the rain.
  3. I have a neos and other than finding the ammo, it's pretty nice to shoot. I'd like to get a suppressor for it sometime. Anyone know if there's a place around here would do the threading?
  4. Something like this? Your big issue might be the length required for the upper. You're looking at at least 20" unless you go pistol.
  5. Close to the airport with almost direct access via multi-lane roads. I don't expect he'll be wanting to dally in TN for any longer than he has to for multiple and varied reasons.
  6. You are correct. However, I suspect the manufacturers have contracts to supply at fixed prices (though I admit I don't know how it is done). That would imply a delay in rising prices.
  7. Would they float?
  8. Fumes seem extremely unlikely. The amount that would diffuse through a tiny gap at any concentration not fatal to humans? Non-existant. OTOH, I do always unload my guns (and leave the ammunition) in a different room before I clean them. But that's a safety thing. Maybe someone was pulling his leg.
  9. I wonder what this might mean for TNs gun laws. Will groups like TFA receive extra funding? Will there be extra lobbying?
  10. Imaging is probably even better. Way to easy for a cop to claim he saw something he didn't. Consider all the claims that drug-sniffing dogs often operate off of handler clues also. Humans are way too fallible. OTOH, I do think it's important for a human to observe an actual crime. Not a fan of traffic cameras. This situation works well however. Drone provides the probably cause and cops go in and affirm the actual crime.
  11. And when k-mart sold ammo.
  12. If you can find the ethanol free, you won't have to worry so much about rotation.
  13.   Where there is a big scale. On one side is ammunition and on the other side, the weight of Obama's lies. They have to keep them balanced.   That lead smelter wasn't closed down, it was co-opted.
  14.   I bought a 22 pistol because there was no centerfire on the shelves and I thought it would be easier to find .22 :wall:   Luckily I've had a couple of fortuitous finds since then.
  15. Custom-issue CCW badge? ;)
  16.   Speaking for myself, that is not a particularly high bar to reach.
  17.   But fire towers tend to imply wooded areas and wooded areas imply cover for zombies and bad-guys.   It would probably be trivial to topple one of those towers with a truck and a length of chain also.
  18. They found a bunch of guns in the local lake during a fire dept training exercise a while back but this does sound suspicious to me.

    great day

Heh. Me too. I just didn't want to come over as pedantic.

    great day

Meh, life isn't the movies where people fess up and everyone shakes hands, shares a chuckle and then the credits roll. As you say, actions have consequences and judgement is called for. The phrase "Let sleeping dogs lie" doesn't exist for no reason.   Now, this kind of thing would have been something I would have fessed up to but that was me with my parents. YMMV.
  21.   And that's why it's taking so long. Not that I'm blaming you. Or saying that I'm any different. It's just going to take a long time for everyone to get to where they feel comfortable with their stash cause that's probably at least 5x what it was for those who had a stash before and then there's those that didn't even have a stash* (like myself) and those who didn't even have a gun.       *of .22
  22. Sadly they are also a long way from me too. I either have to visit Clarksville or one of the *two* very close together on the east side of Nashville. I think it was around $10 for the one we bought when it was on one of their discount things.   Hopefully there will be one on the west side of Nashville sometime.
  23.   Interesting. I was more thinking in terms of mold temperatures but good point.
  24. If you just want to check the temps, Harbor freight often has those remote thermometers on sale. I use one for checking the temperature of my wife's kiln.
