Auto insurance covered a rifle that was in my truck in my driveway. It was hidden behind my seat.

God does protect them without obvious intervention by giving them the skills to protect their selves. David, Joshua, Sampson, etc, used their weapons effectively with some guidance perhaps, but God didn't swing the sword for them. I hear people quote Jesus about turning the other cheek, but he doesn't say anything about letting your enemy kill you.

I told my pastor, (and the new pastor), that if they have a problem with it to let me know and I'll take my tithe elsewhere. He responded that in any given Sunday service there was likely 10 handguns in the audience. I now head the security in my church. :)

I pretty much concur with this statement. Putin has made it pretty clear that he wants to go back to the old ways now that they can afford it with their oil reserves. That last part is tongue-in-cheek, if it wasn't clear. I believe that their economy is what drove this agreement back in the 80's-90's to begin with.

I hate going to Walmart.

I believe that the folks who lived up Fergus fussed to the city council about the Walmart, so Waldron took the opportunity to sell the land across from the Lowes, and I'm sure that it was at a premium. That's a better place for it really, but La Vergne loses the taxes generated.

Hottest .22 LR ammo? At least when you can find it!
E4 No More replied to E4 No More's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
This particular 10/22 has a 20" barrel with what I believe is their standard twist of 1/16. -
I found the particular Ruger 10/22, (distributor exclusive Model 1159), that I've been looking for with the help of Guns & More in Smyrna. I have not owned a .22LR for 16 years so I haven't been keeping up with ammunition during that time. So what is considered the hottest .22LR round available when it is available? I know it's a plinker, but I never shoot the cheap stuff out of rifles. For those interested, the Model 1159 is a blued Sporter with fiber-optic sights and wood stock that has an extended rubber buttplate. It has the longest length of pull like the Target model. At 6'4" that's a feature that I like! :) http://ruger.com/products/1022DE/specSheets/1159.html

I purchased several guns through my department back in the 80/90's and never had to fill out a form or do a background check.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned that he has a marked decrease in the chance of developing prostate problems if you get him snipped.

For me, the most annoying thing done under her administration was the intersection of Nir Shreibman and Murfreesboro. What kind of moron removes a turn lane onto a main road that goes towards the city? They should have either used eminent domain to take the land from KFC for a turn lane, or made the left lane the straight/left turn lane. Traffic is always messed up in the morning with A-holes who think that they are more important than anyone else on the road and who either cut in line, go through the parking lots, or race ahead of people from the left turn lane to go straight. The police do NOTHING to prevent the A-holes from being A-holes either.

The female Mayor, Senna Mosley, lost the last race. The Mayor is now Dennis Waldron. Those of you who think she's nice should know that there's another side to that story. Apparently there was an incredible turnover under her reign as Mayor.

I live in Lake Forest, and I don't think it's so bad since the economy tanked and the gang-bangers moved out. I still want to move out for other reasons - I didn't want to live here anyways, but my wife made the command decision - and the resale values still suck too bad to do so. I have great neighbors even though I live right on the edge of the "border" between nice homes and crakerjack boxes.

Sounds like a former drug house.

I just wanted him to shut up and shoot.

Either the LEO wasn't on his game or he was poorly trained in lots of areas. The guy's body language keyed me in when he protected his gun side when asked if he had any weapons. Takedown or draw would have been initiated with me at that point. Sad that he lost his life over it, but it was certainly pre-mediated. I hope dude gets a needle in the arm in about 10 years, but more wishful that he's killed while resisting arrest. EDIT: Just saw the Blaze article. Glad he saved the tax payers money.

Officer shot himself--and the gun store gets sued......
E4 No More replied to Parrothead's topic in General Chat
In today's litigious society the business has to assume the stupid customer. The business did not do so. Some states award damages based on a determination of percentage of shared negligence, but I have no idea if Kentucky is one of them. -
Officer shot himself--and the gun store gets sued......

While both were negligent I feel that the gun store is more so: therefore, they will pay. -
I don't want to break the forum.

I did something similar with my Ed Brown Kobra Karry in that somehow, (I still have no idea how), my (cheap Harbor Freight), scale switched from grains to grams. I'm surprised that the bullet seated, but the Ed Brown took it without damage...luckily. When I realized what happened I threw that piece of crap scale out and bought an expensive one. I do not cut corners on my reloading equipment anymore.

Ok, I'll bite: what's wrong with pistol powder in a rifle? Is not H110 a pistol powder used in a 300 BLK? You should be careful of your loading with ANY powder.

Clearing is moving them to denied which moves it to the appeals process if the vet doesn't give up. It's about the numbers. As my legal representation has told me, it's a waiting game.

And just why do you give a crap how someone else spends their money? Most youngsters do not have the money to buy such cars, so just how old does one have to be to justify a purchase of such a car in your opinion?

I had a 2008 boosted to 650 with modifications. Sweet cars! :) I love the look of the GT, and even if I had the cheese I don't know that I could get into one anymore. I also love the look of the Cadillac CTS-V, but I doubt my wife would let me trade her XTS for one.
