  1. To be able to carry in other states is the biggest reason. Living in the SW corner like I do, I venture into Miss and Ark several times a year. Both honor the enhanced permit. And if LEO should happen to check you, the enhanced permit proves that you've had at least some training. I think that would put them more at ease with you.
  2. I'm doing good to get to the kitchen and back.
  3. I'm 69 years old and my house is paid for. I ain't going nowhere. I'll die in this house.
  4. I like the T-grip and have them on several of my guns. Never got around to trying BKs, but always heard good things about them. But as age and arthritis work on my hands, I find that I'm better off with a more hand filling style of grip on my revolvers. Last I heard the guy who took over Tyler was running it as a part time business and was spotty at that. Working only when he had time and felt like it. They still take orders, but it may be many months, possibly a year before you get it. Communication is also a big problem as they don't answer phone calls or e-mails. Ordering anything now is questionable at best.
  5. Great gun and a great story. In all my years of shooting S&W revolver, I've only had to ship one home. But that was better than 20 years ago. As I remember, the experience wasn't bad. However, over on big blue, horror stories about S&W's customer service abound. Hopefully the move to Maryville has changed all that. Congratulations on a fine revolver.

I've been interested in one of those. Let us know how it shoots.
  7. Bartlett's SWAT Team officers have M-16s and MP5s. These are stored inside their Patrol cars, in a locked steel box bolted into the trunk. Further, the trunk lid will only open a couple of inches due to a steel cable with a padlock on it. So you have to go through 2 locks to access them. If I remember correctly, the weapons are removed and stored in the armory when the officers are not on duty. I should mention that our little town doesn't have a full time SWAT team. While they are highly trained, these officers work regular patrol duty until needed.
  8. The problem seems to be that nobody wants to take the lead and set something up. I'm afraid I'm not any good at such things. I wouldn't even know where to start. Is there one organized person in the Memphis area?
  9. All I can suggest is that you search the internet used parts dealers. Taking it to a gunsmith would probably cost more than the rifle is worth. I did a search for a Sears Ranger Model 25. I get semi-autos and magazine fed bolt actions, but no single shots. Post some pictures, maybe somebody can tell you exactly what you have and where you might find parts.
  10. When it comes to sex, there's market for anything you can think of, anything you can think up, your most disgusting nightmares and things you never knew the human body was capable of.
  11. Reasons I love Halloween: There's not social requirement to see relatives unless you actually want to. A fancy meal means that there's chili for the hot dogs. Costumes Candy Kids And general silliness rules the day!
  12. There's a store crossover reference in the back of the Blue Book. I find no reference to a Ranger 35. Does your rifle have an "A" after the model #. Ranger 35A? According to my book that would be a Stevens 66A. Does it have a Sears model number? Usually three digets a dot and then more digets. XXX.XXXX It may take some time and searching, but I'm sure somebody probably has a firing pin for your rifle.
  13. Way back when in my drinking days, Jack, Jim and Bud were my best friends.
  14. I don't think anybody listens to this idiot. Every time he opens his mouth he sticks his foot in it up to the ankle.
  15. AARRGH! Once again at the other end of the state! If you were closer, I'd be all over that. Any chance you might be heading west soon?
  16. When I was still working, once in a while somebody would bring in one of those "Just Busted" newspapers. These list mugshots and charges against people recently arrested. The women who get busted for prostitution, I wouldn't wanna be in the same room with them, much less use their services. Ugly, stupid looking dopers every one. How a man can lower himself to that is beyond me.
  17. JMHO: if you engage in prostitution knowing you have HIV, you should be charged with attempted murder.
  18. I just have no words for this. https://www.westernjournal.com/aclu-seeks-overturn-law-increases-penalties-prostitutes-sell-services-knowing-hiv/
  19. I always liked him. Bull Shannon was a favorite of mine. But Moll also made for a very scary bad guy as well. R.I.P.
  20. Body was found in a wooded area near the river. Died from a self inflicted wound.
  21. Just announced: He's dead. No details yet as to how.
  22. I'm thinking this guy got into his boat, went down river to some secluded spot and offed himself. It could be quite some time before he's found, if they find him at all. Meanwhile, let's all stay scared and in panic mode just like MSM wants.
