  1. Sorry, I prefer to stay on the ground. I screw up too much to get myself higher than a step ladder.
  2. I have plans, but mostly they involve a scrub brush, a basement floor, and some touch up paint.
  3. MP5, that is weird that some can and some can't. Thanks for the input.
  4. David The last post I made in "Post the last firearm related thing you bought!" had several pics. I show only blank placeholders now. I saw the pics originally. Another member says he sees the pics. I also see pics in my other posts. Any ideas? Thanks

    Glock Gen5.

$102 and you can have any left hand holster I have. I don't care if you sell me a 17 or 19.

Man, you are suppossed to say "They are the best thing ever. Sell Ronald your old crap G4's so you can buy the new G5" I am offering $100 each.
  7. Maybe just wait until they dig it all up and relieve them of it before they leave your property. You are just recovering what is yours and then you can profit from their blatant disregard for your property. More money to put up signs and buy purple paint.
  8. I heard, I just don't have the answer. I have the same question though.
  9. One near me looks like a truckstop at night. All these ladies just killing time in the parking lot.

Possibly a rush to market where they had to push production to meet the date set by the corporate sales team. At least we can hope.
  11. That is why a refuse to loan stuff across the board now. I lent a tool to my boss when I first started my current job so he could use it for the weekend. 10 years later, I still can't get him to bring it back. Sounds bad not to loan any, but the only people that ask me are just as likely to pawn it as use it. I have to borrow a company truck once in a while for personal stuff and I treat it better than they do. It always comes back with more gas than it started with. I stopped filling it up since other people drain it to empty every time I need it for work stuff. I have paid for replacement tools when one got broken that I used. It happens, but how you treat the owner after is what matters. I rarely ask to borrow stuff since I do not loan things. Once in a while though, that $300 tool you need for 15 minutes does not make sense to buy. I always offer to rent it and not to borrow it. I also will only ask a handful of people that I havee a good relationship with.
  12. A sniper might have been a better investment.
  13. I say front yard or back 40, if it is your land and they are not supposed to be there, it constitutes a risk to your personal safety. Asking them nicely to leave is not required.
  14. There is no gun more precious than one handed down multiple generations. Great to see it get a little restoration. Enjoy it even if you never shoot it.
  15. Cabela's can be rough on used pricing, but you can haggle price with them. I am sure it differs as to how much in relation to the person over the library. I was at the Bristol one a while back and they had a $35 20GA shotgun. I almost bought it, but it would not latch closed good. I do not need another project even for $35. Normally though you can go buy the new one of current guns a few feet away for just a bit more.
  16. I am thinking that is the one.lol
  17. I was leaving that one out. I actually meant the .410 870 that you listed that sold before I could decide. LOL
  18. So are you implying we should all grab a $hlt log and hold on? LOL I wonder how long we can stay afloat before the final flush. Aside from the fun, I agree. People kill people over the smallest perceived slight. There is very little keeping the niceties of society held together. Less in some places than others. It might be this year, 5 years from now, or 50 years from now, but things are going to break beyond fixing. I think it might make Mad Max look like a day at the spa.
  19. OK, not exactly the last thing I bought, but I have been trying to get time to put this together forever. I have been hesitant too as I rarely put out a list of what I own. A little while back, I helped a member nail down prices on some guns he needed to sell. I will let him chime in if he wants to be definitely identified. The more I looked, the more I decided I wanted several of them. I let one slip through my fingers, but in the end though, we came to a package deal for everything he had left. Taken a lot of side jobs to cover my outlay, but I think it was worth it. I got some good guns at a reasonable price and he got to not sit on them forever to get them to move. I am very grateful to him because he worked with me to get all this shipped. The distance and my schedule was just too much to meet FTF. The 1st item not pictured was a H&R 10GA single shot shotgun with rifle sights. That went to a coworker of mine. He wanted it even before I made a package deal. I like my shoulder too much for that. LOL First are a Winchester Model 1200 in 12GA and a Remington Model 11-48 in 16GA. Second is a Emperor Firearms Guardian Tactical 12GA. In the same pic is as extra barrel for the 1200 Third is a Winchester Model 70 in .30-06 with a Bushnell scope and bi-pod. Fourth is a SKS in a composite folding stock with a red dot scope, bi-pod and a 75 round drum (not pictured). Below it is a Stevens model 94 .410 shotgun. Fifth is a Marlin 39 Carbine Lastly, is a Mosin/Nagant M44 and Mosin/Nagant 91/30. Bayonets came with both. I have not had a ton of time to completely go over these, but the M44 may have all matching numbers. It is missing the piece that snaps in to lock the bayonet forward. On top of this was a good bit of ammo for all the guns including 24 boxes of 16GA. He also tossed in a few items that he needed to clean out that included a range finder. That has already come in very handy. So there you have it, my largest single buy in my life (so far lol).
  20. Just as an example, so is this the way you see the 2 digit year that you talk about? This one looks to end in -16 I am afraid that I am probably going to be online shopping to get one. I don't see them come up for sale locally much. Well not at competitive prices. I will have to look around at some stores too though.
  21. @Dolomite Thanks for the info. Somehow I thought I replied to your post the other day. Any specific ones that you can recommend that are moderately priced? I am just wanting to add one to the stable, but I don't need anything collectible, just reliable. I have been toying with picking this up and picking up a 9mm Glock mag AR pistol.
  22. Sorry. I did not remember seeing that one.
  23. There are a bunch of email to fax services that give you a couple free pages. You send an email and they fax it then email you a report. That might be an option. Gov't is kinda odd about fax vs. email.
  24. Personally, I don't have any stickers on mine. I used to have a couple small ones that were not brands. I just feel that anything can end up being a negative. Same reason I don't wear logo clothing. Avoiding attention works for me.

    Glock Gen5.

I'm sure the Glock enjoyed it too. Better not let your G3 find out. You know how they can get about it.
