  1. These were inexpensive revolvers, and an overall weak design, as the hinge usually becomes loose pretty quickly. This one looks to be in much better condition than most I've seen, however. As long as the action is tight, I would buy or fabricate another firing pin for it, It shouldn't be a big deal. What caliber is it?
  2. That's what I was thinking. I'm happy with a whole bunch of mine.
  3. Wow! I hadn't heard this. I have a good friend I used to play music with in the funeral home now. This stuff makes one feel old!
  4. I've about decided I don't want to live in a world where one would need years and years of food stored. I honestly don't see how that would or could happen anyway. We'd either all die, or sort out whatever problems caused the disruption in fairly short order. A short term supply of food, water, cash, toilet paper, etc. can come in handy however.
  5. Great stuff! Thanks for sharing, and welcome to the forum!
  6. I've noticed this lately as well when switching between a windows 10 computer and an I phone.
  7. Sorta what I thought. I didn't know exactly what it was, but I did know it didn't look like a $200 rifle. Like they say; a blind hog finds an acorn once in a while.
  8. SANTA FE M-59 TROOPER CAL 7.62 MM NATO GOLDEN STATE ARMS CORP. PASADENA, CALIF
  9. There's a button that looks like it needs to be depressed to do that, and I can't seem to get it pushed down quite enough.
  10. You are correct as usual. Now what's the trick to getting the bolt out?
  11. I picked this thing up last weekend, and am now not sure why.
  12. I haven't shot it yet, but here it is. It looks like Bubba's been ahold of the magazine, but it seems to work o.k. I believe Sarco has them in stock. There is a takedown tool, bore brush, pick, and grease can in the stock under the buttplate. So what is your opinion on firing commercial 308 ammo in this? The brochure I saw claimed that 308 ammo with any weight bullet would work fine, but the action is stamped 7.62 NATO.
  13. At least he's our snowflake!
  14. I think that's pretty well standard.
  15. I cast with my left hand and reel with my right. I always found it odd to watch people continually swap their rod from hand to hand. Although I'm left handed, I also play a right handed guitar. I'm o.k. It's just that the rest of te world is screwed up.
  16. Uh oh! I think this is why the politics section got gone.
  17. So if you're repeatedly being stung by yellow jackets, you should just ignore them because there will always be a wasp or bumble bee around?
  18. I think my father has a boat somewhere at the bottom of Percy Preist.
  19. The milsurp market has pretty much dried up.
  20. Lol! I have trouble just keeping my boat off the ground on Old Hickory where Doug fishes.
  21. The fact remains that virtually all these bad actors have something in common.
  22. Me too. I used to bass fish a lot, but after several years of not fishing much, I've got back into it, and I find myself using live bait almost exclusively.
  23. We agree on more than you think. If I didn't like you and respect your opinion, I'd simply ignore you rather than engage you in a discussion. The same goes for Erik, and pretty much every other member here.
  24. If a person doesn't like the politics section, why couldn't said person simply stay out of it? I'm about to run out of patience with habitually offended folks.
