  1. Are we going to see some with the TGO logo on the side?
  2. I have a an assortment of surplus mags from various countries and manufacturers. They all work. I buy whatever is cheap and available, as long as they are commie mil surp.
  3. I finally turned my garden Saturday. :ugh:
  4. Bad weather deer rifle.
  5. 3-4 inches at 100 yards.
  6. I just got a letter from mine stating she is retiring. I was referred to her when my first one retired. Does anyone here have one they are happy with in the Nashville or North of Nashville area?
  7. I'd like to buy Colts, Smith and Wessons, and 99 Savages at blue book prices. There are several other brands that I'd like to sell at blue book prices. All in all, however, it is as good a general guide as anything else in print. I buy several copies every few years. Some as gifts, and one for myself.
  8. I have several of each. They all work. Just personal preference I guess. I prefer the metal GI mags, but I've been accused more than once of being "old school".
  9. I'm not a big LEO fan as most of you all know, but I do not envy having to put up with crap like this from random people. He stated that was the third call like it that day. The police didn't have anything to do with the passing of this law. It would be very hard to remain professional while talking to that woman.
  10. I learned of them while processing a large batch of assorted range brass I'd bought. They are the source of all matter of cussing and wringing of hands.
  11. Sounds like a deal when you put it that way.
  12. I sure hated to hear it. He was funny as anyone, but what impressed me about him was his depth of knowledge in the areas of American history, world history, and music history.   Can you imagine what a hoot he would have been as a history professor?
  13. Winchester went el cheapo after 1964. No telling who made the spring in your shotgun, but I'll guarantee it was the lowest bidder. I expect the replacement spring you buy will outlast you.
  14. I've shot an old model 51 Remington, but have yet to lay eyes or hands on a new model.
  15. I'm shooting 124 gr Berry's plated bullets and Unique powder in my 9mms. It's a pretty economical load, and works well in my S&W 39 as well as my Luger.
  16. The LEO did exactly what he should have done, and about all he could do according to the video in the article.
  17. You can always tell a happy biker by the bugs in his teeth.
  18. That alone scares me away from it.
  19. Thanks, That is about as good an explanation as I've seen. Who originated the bitcoin?
  20. I'm all ears if you care to explain it to us. I've done a bit of looking, and so far I haven't been able to get a grasp on how this thing works.
  21. I thought about this very thing while watching the news last night. I told my wife that something like that could well happen here in the future, and I don't intend to take to the streets with a clawhammer or baseball bat. It is sad that an entire country of people aaren't able to defend themselves.   I think that private gun ownership is the one thing that keeps us from being in a similar situation today.
  22. No. I expect he meant me. :hat:
  23. Why?   I know what is in there if I did it. I have no idea what the gunsmith did to it. Not necessarily a 1911 safety, but I've seen some seriously botched jobs come from supposed gunsmiths.
  24.                         http://www.alliantpowder.com/reloaders/powderlist.aspx?page=/reloaders/powderlist.aspx&type=1&powderid=3&cartridge=23 I use Unique powder in my 9mm Luger loads. Berry's plated bullets seem to work about as well as jacketed bullets, but are significantly cheaper.
  25. :shake: I just knew one of us would win!!! :drama:
