  1. Sounds like the capacitor. You might be surprised how cheap you can get it repaired for at this time. Spring has been very mild. Lots of contractors are hungry and eager for whatever they can get at this point. Try calling the independents first if you are worried about price. I doubt the companies have dropped much.......
  2. Mine came back about 2 weeks earlier than my wife's.
  3. I just had a fence installed;   4' chain link- $6.00 per foot 6' privacy- $13.00 per foot   I work in the building services industry and i used one of our regular subcontractors. I have a good relationship with him but i'm not sure if this was cut rate pricing. Take it for what its worth.
  4. Our local equipment rental stores have 16 and 20ft enclosed trailers for rent. Price is very resonable too!!
  5. Well, this is totally irrelevant but it wast the first thing i thought about when i opened the envelope. My old carry permit was a little more rigid than a credit card. My renewal came back a little more flimsy than a sheet of paper.   I certainly hope it survives the next 4 years--for that matter, i hope we all survive the next four years......(insert poorly worded political jab here) :surrender:
  6. Thoughts and prayers are with you.
  7. Looks nice. I want one.......
  8.   I'd be willing to give it a shot (no pun intended).I have shot skeet and trap and enjoy both (trap more b/c i seem to have more sucess). Based in knoxville?
  9. Ok--here's the deal. I have always wanted to go hunting. My immediate family isn't in to outdoor activities. My grandfathers were both vets and outdoorsmen. Both grandfathers have passed. To be honest, i don't know what i need to know. I know basic firearm skills and I shoot compitition handgun when possible. At the same time, i have a lot to learn about hunting.   I do know most seasons are closed at this time. Perfect. This gives me a chance to get the equipment and training i need for the fall. Most of all, i need a teacher. I thought i would throw it out on the TGO and see if anyone would be willing to take me under their wing. I don't have to hunt in the fall. I would be perfectly happy joining someone for a couple hunts to learn the trade.   I do have access to lakefront land in Sullivan county. It is restricted hunting by the owner (my friend). He typically allows 1-3 friends to hunt it per year. However, i would rather learn the trade on public land if possible. I do have a couple rifles that would fit the bill (30-06 lever action and a new .270 bolt gun)   Let me know if you can help. First order of business would be a optic on the .270. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I would like to keep the scope and rings below $500 if possible.   Thanks in advance!   Ben
  10.   Box during the week. Oscillating on the weekend
  11. Good news. I hope they move to a state that appreciates their business!
  12. How do we know when to pay up? I voted but i need to pass the funds............
  13. You are making $60 per year at a private range (capped at 300) seem way too good.............
  14. Here she is. I will put some AT tires on it shortly.
  15. Someone help!! Looks like a new addiction. I have always carried a Smith and Wesson S.W.A.T manual folder from yellow stone. It is a custom knife with some awesome artwork. My grandfather purchased this knife for me when we visited the park 13 years ago.   My grandfather has sense passed away. I have retired that knife to the safe. For a long time (2 years or so) i have gone blade-less. Its bothered me but not enough to fix the problem--until today.....   I purchased a Ken Onion Kershaw Speedsafe black out. Sweet knife in my opinion. It will fill my pocket til i find something better. That's where you guys come in. What would you recommend for less than $300? I don't want something heavy. I need a EDC. Links would be appreciated!   Thanks in advance!   Ben
  16. All things considered, the little ruger protected the shooter. Certainly makes me feel better about my LCP (which gets a steady diet of factory rounds).
  17. I was at a local walmart recently. Lady was getting ready to unpack a case of .380. Assistant manager came up and told her to hold 500 rounds. Another associate had requested to buy it before it hit the shelf.   I'd like to think this was a isolated incident but it makes you wonder......
