  1. I lived in a rural area previously. We had a person trying to gain entrance into our house one night. I had a good position with vision of both doors. They messed with the locks and hit the door several times. My wife was on the phone with dispatch and i held aim on the door for roughly 8-10 mins before the calvary showed up. Funny thing was, 5 units showed up at the same time. I would assume they all were chatting in the same parking lot at the time of the call.
  2. Within the last year, i purchased a home in a "good" part of town. Nothing fancy but it fell in the right school system and gave me nearly a acre while still being within walking distance of downtown. However, i have had some issues with the "neighbors" that live behind me.   When we moved in, i fenced in the back yard because of my dogs. I have 6' privacy on part of the yard and 4' chain on the part of the yard that is covered by tall evergreen trees. No issues initially but then my dogs started going nuts around the fence line and I've noticed random "trash" that has been thrown in my yard. Then i found that my "neighbors" also have a firework fetish that hits prime around 0:00. Being in the city limits, fireworks are prohibited with the exception of holidays. I drove down and tried to have a conversation but it didn't end well and i had to send the police to deliver the message. I have a 8 month old child. Fireworks don't work well for her sleeping schedule. In addition to this, i waked into the backyard one night to find one of the neighbors kids (16+) halfway over my 6' fence. When he saw me, he slid down the other side but i couldn't help but notice the possibility.   Anyway, today, i see my neighbors who are friends (and also TGO members.) She asks if i noticed the action behind the house this week. I replied that i didn't. My tree's block out the view of the neighborhood below. She told me to go to the bottom fence line and take a look. Basically, the neighbors kids set a fire that got out of control. It burned the hill side below my property. It seems that the fire ran down my fence line. The fire department was called out to control the fire and spent the majority of the day keeping things under control. With the ivy on that hill, the fire department saved me from spending thousands to replace the tree line. For that, i am very thankful.   Moving forward, what can i do to monitor this piece of the property? Can i put game camera's or surveillance camera's up that monitor the fence line? Can the be aimed onto another piece of property? Is there anything to keep the neighbors from destroying them if found on my property? At first, i was concerned with maintaining a relationship with the folks who lived beside me. After a couple interactions, i got over that. I am interested in protecting my family and my belongs. Nothing more--nothing less.   Thanks in advance for the help   Ben
  3. I've got a buddy who will come get them for free and he would really appreciate the opportunity. Pm me your contact info and I'll send it to him. Thanks--Ben
  4. I've used Shirley Warren numerous times. She has been outstanding. She owns signature properties. Sigprops.com. I have referred her out to several friends and everyone has been very satisfied. (423) 817-7777
  5. Awesome. As a Titan owner, I'm a fan of Nissan trucks. Very tough but also tough on the gas tank. (My only compliant) however--it's a truck and I didn't buy it for mpg. I love mine and I think you will have the same feeling toward yours. If it has the VQ series motor in it, you've got a truck that will run 300k easy
  6. here is a good reference for how to do this in a Titan. I think the same principles would apply for most vehicles.   http://www.titantalk.com/forums/titan-faq-howto-area/141742-how-quick-easy-center-console-hidden-gun-mount.html
  7.   I had a 2011 Maxima with the CVT transmission. I had no issue but i traded the car at ~40k miles. With that said, i have owned 4 Maxima's and i currently drive a Titan. Three of the four maxima's saw well over 100k miles. The forth was traded for a full size truck when my commute got shorter. I have never had a issue with a Nissan vehicle outside of normal wear (tires, brakes, etc).
  8. 4" right now in the Eastman bubble. Still coming down at a pretty good clip.
  9. I love that he pleaded not guilty. Dude, they caught you with your gun on school property.....,
  10. Shoot me a PM with your contact info. Your welcome to join me on a Saturday. I can offer you a several pistols and some rifles. All I ask is that you provide your own ammo (brass case). Let me know when you want to go. ---Ben
  11. I'm a fan of this one. And i assure you, my walls are not pink. Sorry, can't remember the magpul color code. In person, this rifle is darker in color than the picture would indicate. It looks almost tan in the picture. In reality, its a brown with a hint of green Found the link......... https://hollowpointfirearms.com/product/mdi-magcom26bh-magpul-comspec-ar-15-furniture-kit-bounty-hunter-camo
  12. When i was first eligible for my carry permit, i picked up a G26 and never looked back. I have always been semi-auto guy. I have owned (and still enjoy) several pistols of various makes. However, my thinking has shifted.   I used to think revolvers were heavy, low capacity options aimed at older folks. Now, i look at the older revolvers and admire the craftsmanship that went into production.I have a greater appreciation for the reliability of the revolver platform. My plastic striker fired pistols have lost their luster. I find myself carrying my LCR more and more. Last time i went to the range, i have more revolvers in the bag than pistols.     Now i don't think i'm ready to give up 18 rounds of 9mm by the bed for a six shooter. I haven't had that much kool-aid.......yet. Do you think this is just a phase? Surely i'll come back to my senses........... right?   :panic:
  13.   if "red" is code for "dog shit" you would be correct.
  14. Nice grab. I would have respond in a very similar manner.........
  15. 4" here in Kingsport--and that's inside the Eastman bubble :panic: :panic:
  16.   Really? Shocked to see this out of a LEO and a benefactor...........

    New pistol

I'm gonna have to go with the post above. Not even comparable.
  18. I ordered the rubber version originally for my XDs. Personally, the factory grip was a little harsh when firing more than 100 rounds at a time. The Talon grips solved this problem. At that point, i ordered grips for my Kahr (pocket rocket) and my FNS-9. I could not be happier with the performance. Installation is easy and customer service is excellent if you have any issues.
  19. I work in the industry. Shoot me a message if you wanna talk about options. We are a carrier/bryant dealer. I can give you some things to look for and some things to avoid.
  20. very nice--congrats. I have one very similar and love it dearly.
